Nigeria plans to borrow $300 million for water supply projects in the West African nation, Finance Minister Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala told lawmakers, according to ThisDay newspaper.
The proposal is part of an initial request for $7.9 billion that has been pending before Parliament and $1.4 billion more including the water request for works in several states, the paper said, citing the borrowing plan unveiled before legislators yesterday.
