Are you the curious type? Have you ever come
across the terms ‘Illuminati’, ‘Freemasonry’, ‘New World Order’? Do you know
what they mean? What they stand for? What their true aims and objectives are?
Wondering if they still exist? Or you haven’t even heard of them at all (that
would be weird though)? Rumours have been going round and questions are being
asked over the years concerning these issues, but no one seems to have really
come out to talk about them. Thus, leaving questions unanswered, rumours
unconfirmed and thereby causing misconception of the subject. With this
article, I have tried, in my capabilities, to give answers to most of the
questions ever asked concerning the 3 terms mentioned above. Though I won’t be
able to cover the whole 3 terms in this article for this week, but you can be
rest assured that subsequent editions will follow on a weekly basis. So,
without further ado, let’s get on with it. I’ll start with the first term;
ILLUMINATI.
Brief
History
The Illuminati (plural of Latin illuminatus, "enlightened") is a name given to several groups, both
real (historical) and fictitious. Historically the name refers to the Bavarian Illuminati, an Enlightenment-era secret society founded on May 1, 1776. In more modern contexts the
name refers to a purported conspiratorial organization which is alleged to
mastermind events and control world affairs through governments and corporations to establish a New World Order. The
movement was founded on May 1, 1776 by Adam Weishaupt, in Ingolstadt (Upper Bavaria) as the
Order of the Illuminati, with an initial membership of five. It was made up of freethinkers as an offshoot of the Enlightenment and seems to have been modelled
on the Freemasons. The Illuminati's members took a vow of secrecy and pledged
obedience to their superiors. Members were divided into three main classes,
each with several degrees, and many Illuminati chapters drew membership from
existing Masonic lodges. The term Illuminati, is the plural of the Latin, Illuminatus, meaning "one
who is illuminated."
Secret
societies, including the Illuminati believe in the power of symbols. We are so
used to seeing them everywhere that we don't even think about them. The
Illuminati believe that the more symbols around, the more power to them. The
insignia of the Illuminati and the New World Order is the "Pyramid with
the All-Seeing- Eye", which you can study on the back of the U.S. One Dollar Bill (some years ago this symbol was also on a series of stamps
released from the Vatican). The All-Seeing-Eye is the Eye of Horus, which is the same as the
Eye of Lucifer, and goes back to the Egyptian era. The One Dollar Bill was
designed by President Roosevelt's administration.
Before
I continue, let me at this point correct a misconception about the Illuminati.
The Illuminati is in no way an ‘anti-religion’ organisation. It is not against
any religion, neither is it for any religion. The general conception about it
being a satanic group is wrong! It shouldn’t be confused with the church of
Satan. In fact, their views towards religion will be discussed in the next
edition of this article.
The
most valuable secret of the Illuminati was their own moral system of authority,
which was already practiced inside the order, but was now supposed to be
applied on the outside world. The deceit and patronizing of the
lower-positioned members soon provoked disagreements within the order. This was
caused by Weishaupt's aim to perfect the individual by encouraging it to
practice more self-discipline and covert leadership. He assumed that for the
improvement of the individual the first necessary step was to know its secrets.
Probably, he adopted this concept from his arch-enemy, the Jesuits, which were
known for their slavish obedience and their gentle but still effective
leadership by means of confession. They subjected their members to an utterly
totalitarian monitoring and psychological techniques in order to ultimately
free mankind of the despotism of princes and kings.
Modern
Conspiracy Theory
Writers have argued that the Bavarian Illuminati
survived, possibly to this day. Many of these theories propose that world
events are being controlled and manipulated by a secret
society calling itself the Illuminati. Conspiracy theorists have claimed that many notable people were or are
members of the Illuminati. Presidents of the United States are a common target
for such claims. A key figure in the conspiracy theory movement, Myron Fagan,
devoted his later years to finding evidence that a variety of historical events
from Waterloo, The
French Revolution, President John F. Kennedy's
assassination and an alleged communist plot to
hasten the New World Order by
infiltrating the Hollywood film industry, were all
orchestrated by the Illuminati.
In addition to the supposed shadowy and
secret organization, several modern fraternal groups claim to be the
"heirs" of the Bavarian Illuminati and have openly used the name
"Illuminati" in founding their own rites. Some, such as the multiple
groups that call themselves by some variation on "The Illuminati
Order", use the name directly in the name of their organization,
while others, such as the Ordo Templi Orientis, use
the name as a grade of initiation within their organization.
In the next week edition of this article (if I’m
still alive, and have not been assassinated or killed in some mysterious
accident), I shall discuss more on the term ‘Freemasons’ which was used in the above paragraphs. In the general public,
the term ‘Freemasonry’ is often confused, or used in place of ‘Illuminati’.
This article will try and shed more light on the
differences, relationships, objectives and the
coexistence of these two secret societies. Also, to be noted, I will try as much as possible to be
objective in whatever I’m explaining. The decision of classifying them to be
either good or bad is entirely up to you.
That will be all for this week, see y’all next week.
And remember, you shouldn’t believe everything you hear, and also, don’t do
drugs!!!
