The California mother who was caught having sex with her 16-year-old son plead no contest to against her.
Mistie Atkinson, 32, pleaded ‘no contest’ to a litany of charges, including incest and oral copulation with a minor.
The Napa Valley Register reported that the plea has the same legal standing as making a plea of ‘guilty.’
She could be sentenced to as many as four years and eight months in state prison, but could be out in as little as two years and four months for good behaviour.
Atkinson reportedly had no contact with her son until last year when she began sending him inappropriate messages on the social networking site.
The boy was living with his father at the time. Atkinson did not have custody rights to her son.
Police said the teen had videos on his cell phone that showed his mother performing oral sex on him.
