"OUR V.C. LIED!" - UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN STUDENTS

2:28 AM

Following the compulsory 2-week break embarked upon by the University of Ibadan, the Vice-chancellor, Prof. Isaac Adewole in an interview granted to the press claimed that the students of the institution protested in order to push home their demand for a 2-week extension period before their exams. But the students immediately took to Facebook and other social networks to register their displeasure against the comments made by the V.C. who they claimed was outside the country at the time of the protest. The students called him a liar and even demanded a public apology. A source had this to say, "It is very ridiculous for the V.C. to claim that U.I. students wanted a 2-week break to prepare for their exams. The school management failed in her responsibility of providing adequate power supply for the students and yet the V.C. goes out there to make such comments. I'm highly disappointed!"
