Supermom a reality show that centers on Mothers, has kicked off, however, this year's edition is the celebrity edition, whereby mothers of some notable celebrities in Nigeria get to narrate their experiences and, heart-rending stories. Ace comedian Julius Agwu's Mother, was the first to kick off the show.
According to Julius' mother, 'Julius started hawking at age six because he was born into a poverty stricken home in Choba, Obio/ Akpor Government Area of Rivers.' The comedian's father was a bricklayer and his mother was a petty trader, who was also involved in fish farming and subsistence farming. She said she 'wanted him to become a carpenter because he was so troublesome. The struggle was tough and he had to help contribute to the livelihood of the family by selling pap.
She revealed that he always went to school late due to the fact that he would have to wake up as early as 5am to hawk before going to school every day. She expressed her thanks to God, according to her: 'am grateful to God he went through all that, because I believe that those experiences are what have made him the person he is today'.
