Two robberies near Butler's campus

File Photo: Police LightsThe Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department along with the Butler University Police Department is investigating two robberies that occurred near Butler's camps Saturday morning.
 
Police say the first robbery occurred on the corner of 42nd and Capitol Ave. After robbing a person on foot, the suspects fled the scene towards Butler University.
The suspects then robbed another person on foot, this time a Butler student. Police pursued the suspects and were able to arrest one.

Authorities later caught up with the other suspect after IMPD and BUPD set up a perimeter around the area. K9 officers also helped find the suspects.
Police recovered a weapon that the suspects were carrying. They say the weapon was not one of the items that was stolen from the victims.
It is not yet known what was stolen.
