Finally Its Now Official!!!
As the Students Union in collaboration with StrictlyUI announce the " 2012 IVORY AWARDS" by 4pm, Sunday 21st October 2012, Trenchard Hall, University of Ibadan.
The
event would involve awards of academic excellence to honour deserving
students and lecturers and awards of entertainment excellence to Ali Baba
and Don Jazzy. The Premier Heroes award goes out to 10 distinguished
personalities in Nigeria. The Vice-chancellor of the University of
Ibadan Prof. Isaac Adewole is the Chief host, Chief Gamaliel Onosode as
the Father of the day and Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the Chairman of
the Occasion.
A
press conference on the Ivory Awards is to be held by the Students’
Union executives with the media soon.
The
nominees for the maiden edition of the IVORY AWARDS would be announced at
a press conference/nominees party, where the full list of categories
and nominees will be revealed. The highlights of the ceremony will be
screened later on Lagos Television, SilverBird TV, Linda Ikeji's Blog,
BellaNaija, Diamond Fm, Splash Fm, Goon TV and on other notable
platforms. The primary aim of the award is to honor and recognize excellence
in the lives of some of the University of Ibadan's most notable and
outstanding alumni and students. The Awards will also focus on the
highest achievements by each nominee each year in order to
motivate and encourage those who make them and inspire new entrants to
give more than their best in all that they do! The Ivory Awards will
celebrate both English speaking and Indigenous talents with a Nominees’
Party set to take place on Saturday, October 21st, with the main Award
ceremony scheduled to hold on Sunday, October 21st at Trenchard Hall,
University of Ibadan.

PS: Nomination Activities would commence on Monday, September 3, 2012
from 2pm (Strictly Online). The nomination forms with its categories
will be available on all the principal online media platforms in the
University of Ibadan including, StrictlyUI.com, The official SU facebook
group, Twitter, Coded-ish.blogspot.com, Loggtv.net,
StoryBookmag.com.ng, dGlitz.com, Crystalspot.net and all other relevant
social media.
