Covenant University once again, has been ranked as the Best Private University in Nigeria in the July 2012 edition of the World Universities Web Ranking across the globe
Out of the 10 Nigerian Universities ranked among the top 100 in Africa, CU was the only Private University that made the list.
Other Nigeria Institutions that made the top 100 African are the University of Benin, Auchi Polytechnic, University of Ibadan, University of Ilorin, University of Lagos, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife and University of Jos.
The methodology used in the ranking conducted by the largest public research body in Spain- Cybermetrics Laboratory, took into account the volume of contents published on the university webdomains as indexed by Google, the External in links that the University web domain receives from third parties, the number of rich files (pdf, doc, docx, ppt) by Google Scholar and the academic papers published in high impact international journals.
