The police spokesperson Inspector Billie Dube confirmed the arrest of Sisua Mathe of Dimbamiwa Village under Chief Tshugulu.
"The accused, Sisua Mathe first met the complainant on her way to school in March and lured her to his homestead using biscuits, where he forced her to his bedroom and raped her.
"The accused continued to rape her several times between March to November," said Insp Dube. He said the man was only caught when villagers started talking about the matter.
"The matter came to light after the mother heard rumours from other villagers that her daughter was being sexually abused. She made a report on Monday at Nkayi Police Station leading to the arrest of the man.
"School children must desist from taking things from strangers as they risk being raped and infected with diseases," said Insp Dube.
