Akwa Ibom Gets First Female Deputy Governor

Barrister Valerie Ebe was sworn in as the first female deputy governor of Akwa Ibom state, the first woman in the state's 25-year history to occupy such a position.

Barrister Ebe was sworn in three days after the resignation of former Dep Governor, Nsima Ekere, who left because of his 'alleged act of disloyalty to the governor.'
