Now it's very obvious. U.I students are very weak. It's only on the Student Union page we see them shouting and making noises about #protest #aluta #injustice and so on. The Town Hall meeting is a perfect example of a waste of time. Students couldn't stand their grounds. Out of fear of what?? SDC?? The student union isn't even strong enough. We barely know what they stand for. Though Edosa (The S.U President) started on a good note...but that was it! We all succumbed to the politics of our V.C. I cant even remember everything discussed...but the important one is about banning of cooking in rooms. He claimed a kitchenette will be on each floor...where one or two electric cookers will be provided...meant for light cooking. A fridge will also be there. No student is to bring any form of cooking materials into the halls of residence. Not even kerosene stoves!! They claimed eateries will be provided where students can go to buy food. How can the school be able to feed almost 22,000 students thrice a day...on a daily basis. Let's even say 10,000 students. Is that feasible? How sensible is that?? Even the eateries, where are they now? And school has resumed! Yet, some will still go to the page and lament...something we could all have done collectively. Now, to the V.C and his associates, they've won! I'm even sure the V.C will be saying this in his mind, "These students are weak o...if i hear say i accept all these in my own days". That's what you all have brought upon yourselves, and i do hope you all can live with it. For any struggle to be won, #Determination is the key!!
