The Tertiary Education Fund (TETFUND) has released over N400 million for the construction of a new college of medicine at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Bauchi (ATBU).Vice Chancellor of ATBU, Professor Mohammed Hamisu Muhammad, who stated this at the foundation laying ceremony of the college, added, “We must commend the governor who secured all the approvals for the establishment of the college and release of funds from TETEFUND”.
Governor Isa Yuguda, who was represented by his deputy Sagir Aminu Saleh, said health care is a top priority of his administration.
Yuguda reiterated the commitment of the administration to raise the number of Bauchi State indigenes training in medicine by 300 per cent.
