The Katsina State government has reduced the registration fees charged by the state owned Umaru Musa Yar’Adua University in Katsina by 25 per cent.
Gov. Ibrahim Shema’s Special Adviser on Higher Education, Alhaji Aliyu Haruna, made this known to newsmen in Katsina yesterday.
Haruna said with the reduction, students of Arts would now pay N27,750, while Science students would pay N32, 250.
Prior to the decision, Art students paid N37,000, while students offering Science courses paid N43,000 as registration fees.
He added that the new students would pay the new registration fees depending on course of study. The special adviser urged the students to reciprocate the gesture through hard work.
