Chris Olwage has won Mr. Gay World contest. He has won it for the second year in a row for New Zealand. The event took place in Antwerp, Belguim. Olwage is known by fans as “the Black Swan” for his pointe ballet performances and appearance on “New Zealand’s Got Talent,”. He beat out 24 other winners of Mister Gay pageants from five continents for the crown on the fifth of August.
The competitors are judged in four categories: Modeling, Sports, Leadership, Knowledge of LGBT related issues

Mr Gay World is a cultural and sportsmanship contest sponsored by the Gay and Lesbian International Sport Association and holds annually in conjunction with The World OutGames.
Winning the Mr Gay World pageant endows Olwage with the responsibility of serving as an ambassador for gay and lesbian rights, as well as awarding him with diamond worth 3,000 euros.
Andreas Derleth, who was last year’s winner for New Zealand, received $6,200 cash and a $25,000 travel allowance to help spread the message of tolerance and diversity.”Finishing up behind Olwage in this year’s contest was Benjie Vasquez Caraig of Hong Kong, who took the spot of first runner-up, while Matt Simons of the United States took third.
