OAU student becomes world ‘business dialogue’ ambassador
In preparation for the 17th World Business Dialogue, the International Relations Department of OFW Organisations Forum Wirtschaftskongress gemeinnützige GmbH, Germany, has released result of its official representatives and ambassadors, across the World.
A final year student of Agricultural Extension and Rural Development, Obafemi Awolowo University has emerged as World Business Dialogue Ambassador. The event is a global one which over 500 students across the world competed for the ambassadorship position across regions.
30 students were chosen among competitors across the world, among those 30 ambassadors, three ambassadors were officially chosen to represent Africa. Among them is Matthew Olaide Adetunji of Obafemi Awolowo University, who will be taking responsibility to represent West and Southern Africa.
The World Business Dialogue is the largest and famous student-run business convention that connects students from five continents.

60 high-profile personalities from economy, science and politics enter a discussion about economically and socially relevant, future-oriented topics selected each year and 300 international students and just as many executives from German companies. Every other year, renowned speakers like Bill Gates (Microsoft), John Naisbitt (Megatrends), Josef Ackermann (Deutsche Bank), Michael Bloomberg (Mayor NYC) or Mark Fields (Ford Premier Automotive Group) have attended the convention at the University of Cologne, Germany.

In bringing together today leaders with the business generation of tomorrow, the Dialogue aims to develop forward-looking strategies and new potential for the future.

According to the Ambassador, Matthew Olaide Adetunji; “Nigerian and other African students are hereby advised to look out for the application process in October to become delegates at the 17th World Business Dialogue in Germany, 2014. This would brighten their career for a brighter future in Africa.”
