#CODED-ish News:: No Sex For Men Backing New Tokyo Governor Who Said Females Are UNFIT To Govern

Yoichi Masuzoe, 65, newly-elected governor of Tokyo

Japan - A group of Japanese women have decided to boycott those men who voted for the newly-elected Tokyo governor by denying them sex.

In an interview with a men's magazine, Yoichi Masuzoe, 65, claimed women are unfit for government because of their menstruation cycles.

He claimed that women are not able to make critical decisions as they do not "behave normal" and act "irrational" when having a period.

In the now-infamous 1989 interview, Mr. Masuzoe said:

"Women are not normal when they are having a period … You can't possibly let them make critical decisions about the country [during their period] such as whether or not to go to war."

The insulted women launched a Twitter campaign called "The association of women who will not have sex with men who vote for Masuzoe". The capmaign has gained 3,000 followers since it launched last week. A second petition website was also launched by women last Wednesday, attracting 75,000 hits a day.

However, despite the women's best efforts, the former Health Minister won Tokyo's gubernatorial election on Sunday. Masuzoe appeared smiling before cameras and promised to make Tokyo "the No. 1 city in the world."
