Graca Machel, Nelson Mandela's widow on Friday broke a customary mourning period to call on the Nigerian government and international community to do more to find the over 234 school girls that were abducted by Boko Haram.
"The Nigerian government has a responsibility to protect its citizens, and keep them safe" she said in an open letter, amid allegations that the authorities ignored a warning of the April 14 attack by the Islamist group.
It would be recalled that Insurgents members on April 14, abducted more than 234 school girls from Government Girls Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State, after the sect members had earlier bombed a popular bus station at Iyanya, a surbub of Abuja, FCT.
Recently the terrorist group in a video clip said they were going to sell the abducted girls as slave bride, a declaration that has arosed the anger of several international communities, who have volunteered to help Nigeria government in rescuing the kidnap girls.
