The Apollos music challenge is a unique music competition that pits musically inclined talented students in an attempt to harness the special musical gifts inherent in them. The contest is originated from Greek folklore, where Apollo serves as the Greek god of music; hence, we aim to discover who takes over the reign of supremacy in the 21st century music world.
The Apollos music challenge is an initiative of Pro World Concept, in conjunction with some other promising firms and organizations to make its first edition a huge success. The contest,which has kickstarted in earnest, is set to last 6 weeks, where there would be rounds of auditions, preliminary stages, selection of final contestants, quarter final stage and the Grand Finale.
The University of Ibadan is the host of this contest, and it will feature contestants from tertiary institutions within the south western region of the country.
The Apollos music challenge is geared at not only entertaining youths, but empowering them to reach heights they normally wouldn’t be able to on their own. The prizes for the contest spread across the top 4 contestants of the competition.
- 1st Prize –
N200, 000 cash prize, a music recording contract, Samsung galaxy tab device, brand ambassador of "THE APOLLOS". - 2nd Prize –
N100, 000 cash prize, a singular recording deal, High end mobile phone. - 3rd Prize –
N25, 000 cash prize, High end mobile phone.
Following the just concluded auditions, rehearsals by the contestants kicks off on thur, 14th Aug. 2014 at the music dept. University of Ibadan.
