The management of Kaduna State University has revealed that it will admit about 2,260 students out of the 12,904 candidates that participated in the 2015 post-UTME screening exercise.
A total of 12, 904 candidates are jostling for 2,260 slots in the 2015 post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) screening of the Kaduna State University (KASU).
According to the University’s Director of Academic Planning, Dr. Maharazu Kubau who spake to journalist yesterday, the number of candidates for admission this year is higher than in previous years but that only those who met this year’s Joint Admission’s Matriculation Board (JAMB) cut-off point, were invited.
He further stated that the university would have admitted only 1,860, but the National Universities Commission (NUC) had recently increased the university’s carrying capacity to 2,260.
