Michael Phelps tops magazine's list of 100 fittest men ever
Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps is the fittest man alive, according to one magazine.
Just months after becoming the most successful Olympic athlete in history, taking 22 medals, Phelps has nabbed the number one spot of the 100 Fittest Men Of All Time, beating Bruce Lee, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Muhammad Ali.
James Bond's Daniel Craig came in under the wire at 50.

Boy tied to tree and burnt alive on his eighth birthday
On his eighth birthday he was tied to a tree, doused in petrol and set on fire.
The inferno left Robbie Middleton with third-degree burns to 99 per cent of his body. No-one expected him to survive.
But in a story of staggering courage, Robbie lived. He endured 200 operations and endless therapy to repair the burns.
Tragically, he was to die just weeks short of his 21st birthday from a cancer which doctors blamed on the original injuries.

A young Nigerian lady has fallen victim of another mob action barely two weeks after the gruesome murder of four students of the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) in Umuokiri, Aluu Community, Rivers State.
The lady, who was accused of stealing a phone, was shamefully assaulted in the video clip, which has gone viral on the internet.The incident took place at an upscale shopping mall in Lagos.The mob descended on the lady, striked and beat her to a pulp.

Planet With Four Suns Discovered
An
international team of astronomers have announced the discovery of a
planet whose skies are illuminated by four suns – the first known of its
type.
The
planet, located about 5,000 light years from Earth, has been dubbed PH1
in honor of Planet Hunters, a programme led by Yale University in the
United States which enlists volunteers to look for signs of new planets.
PH1
is orbiting two suns, and in turn is orbited by a second distant pair
of stars. Only six planets are known to orbit two stars, researchers
say, and none of those are orbited by other distant stars.
“Circumbinary
planets are the extremes of planet formation,” said Yale’s Meg Schwamb,
lead author of a paper presented Monday at the annual meeting of the
Division for Planetary Sciences of the American Astronomical Society in
Nevada.

Sultan of Sokoto declares Friday, Oct. 26 Eid-el-Kabir Day
The Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’ad Abubakar, has declared October 26th as Ed-el-Kabir Day following the sighting of the new crescent on October 16th.
This was in a statement by the Chairman, Advisory Committee on Religious Affairs to the Sultanate Council, Prof. Sambo Junaid on Wednesday.
The statement said, “The sultanate council advisory committee at its meeting on October 16, reviewed reports received from various moon sighting committees across the country. They have duly confirmed the birth of the new moon of Zulhijja, 1433 After Hijra of the Holy Prophet with effect from Wednesday, October 17, which is the first day of Zulhijja.”
“Friday, the 26 of October, is the 10th day of Zulhijja, 1433 AH, which is the Ed-el-Kabir day.

Story: Barney Ross is approached by CIA man Church, who wants him and his guns for hire to go to the former Soviet Union to retrieve something that was on a plane that crashed. Church doesn't tell him what he is getting. And Church sends a woman, Maggie with him to make sure he gets it. They find the plane and get the thing but some men take one of Barney’s people hostage and the leader tells him to give him what they got or he’ll kill his hostage. The give it to him but he kills his hostage anyway. Barney asks Maggie what was so important about that thing. She says that it showed the location of a Russian plutonium storage mine. Barney decides to track the man down and deal with him. They track them down and discover that the man they seek is Vilain who leads a group known as The Sangs and that they have taken all the men from the surrounding villages to work the mine.
