Woman Str1ps Completely To Hug Nelson Mandela’s Statue
The Star newspaper reported that he woman was said to have walked around Nelson Mandela Square before undressing herself in full view of the public on Monday afternoon. The spectacle caused those working in nearby restaurants to get their orders wrong and one man was hit on the head by his wife for getting up for a closer look.
Social media was abuzz with people trying to find out who she was.
Some people were however not amused by the stunt.
Many called her actions distasteful and commented on whether her body was good enough to be shown in public.
Khotso Tladi, a chef at Baglios said: “She didn’t have a nice body, everything was saggy and she had hair. Afroman was better.”
Sandton City and Nelson Mandela Square regional marketing manager Megan Meas told the paper that they were aware of the incident.
“This was an unauthorised incident conducted by a private citizen in her personal capacity on our property,” she said.
The woman was not charged and her whereabouts are unknown

A suspected kidnapper who disguised as a mad man has been arrested at Alakija bus stop in Lagos after he allegedly attacked two policemen on duty with a bottle.
The drama took place inside the premises of a Redeemed Christian Church of God in Alakija area of Lagos state Nigeria yesterday.
The policemen on duty were attacked as they tried to chase an insane woman away from the premises of the aforementioned church.

President Jonathan Launches 64-Page E-passport
President Goodluck Jonathan launched and obtained the 64 page e-passport in Abuja on Wednesday July 30, 2014. The existing e-passport is 32 page.
The Presidency reveals that the 64 page e-passport conforms with international best practices. It helps frequent travellers, it is gender friendly, and more cost effective for low income earners.
The cost for the passport which is strictly for frequent travellers, is N8,750. It has also been stated that this new passport in no way invalidates the 32 page passport.

Former artiste with EME Music, a label Banky W is fully involved in, has disclosed why he joined Baseline Records, where he is expecting to drop his album. The singer’s contract with EME was not renewed, which forced him out of the label.
The artiste said he still maintains a good relationship with the label because his exit was a mutual agreement.
Speaking on a radio show on Tuesday, July 29, 2014, Skales said he believes in doing things by himself. “I just believe in doing things myself, I have big dreams, and there are things I want to do, and people don’t understand me, but as time goes on, they will get used to it. I am one of the few people that believe success is the best revenge, I am not ready for any beef, I think I have grown,” he said.
Commenting further, he said part of the things he did not like was the working differences. “This is the way I want to go and they say this is the way they want me to go and that’s not me, it can’t work. That’s part of the reasons though, there is always two stories to everything. I am just saying how I feel; I don’t want to go deeper than this, before I offend anybody,” Skales further said.
According to the artiste, his new record label, Baseline, was willing to make him bigger and had big plans for him, which made him joined the company. He said the music outfit is now giving back to his fans by giving out $10,000.
“We are giving out $10,000 to any fan who uploads a video, dancing to ‘Shake Body’ (his new single) and the fan with the highest views and like gets the money,” Skales noted, while sending “a big shout out to Baseline for making this possible."

Robbers Strike Community After Sending Warning Message
A robbery gang numbering about 12 on Friday about 2 a.m attacked five communities in Ijoko Otta Ifo, local Government area, Ogun state, seven days after writing the residents a threatening letter warning them of an impending attack.
The robbers raided Oluke, Okugbolu, Sonekan, Seriki Onireke and Oyero communities but where stopped by the Police Anti-Robbery team from Agbado Police Station who responded to a distress call.
They opened fire on sighting the police which led to a gun battle between the police and the robbers leading to the death of five of the robbers, according to PM News.
One of the robbers was, however, arrested, while the other six escaped.
On July 24, it was reported that the armed robbers wrote a letter to residents of Elerinko Estate in Ijoko-Ota in the Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State warning the residents to make cash available when they invade the community.
Meanwhile he arrested member of the gang, 27-year-old Rasheed Olajide, 27, a native of Adatan Abeokuta told PM News that their leader who led the operation is a popular land grabber and lives in the area, adding that they were rounding off their operation when the police arrived.
Items recovered from the robbers include three motorcycles without registration numbers used for the operation, two locally made short guns, three laptops, 22 stolen mobile phones, jewellery, N85,000, and 20 rounds of live cartridges

The Nigerian military had on Friday, after the bomb blasts that targeted former military head of state, Mohammed Buhari’s convoy, said they have arrested a suspected bomber who disguised himself as a woman. A statement by the Defence Headquarters said the suspect was arrested by a security team that arrived at the explosion site not long after the blast. That he was caught while trying to merge into a crowd of onlookers.
But according to this tweet from Ahmad Salkida’s Twitter account, it seems the young man is innocent. Ahmad says his parents & relations have come forward insisting their son is innocent , that he was just at the wrong place at a wrong time.

#CODED-ish Gist:: Game Of Thrones' Season 5 Is About To Upset Fans In A Major Way
When HBO announced the new cast for Season 5 of "Game of Thrones" last week, there were a couple major surprises for book readers.
The majority of the newest cast members will play characters from Dorne, one of the regions of the Seven Kingdom's where Season 5 is expected to spend a decent amount of time. Last season we met the beloved fallen hero Oberyn Martell, Prince of Dorne, who gushed about his home country's forward-thinking. Its laws of equal inheritance among men and women and its lack of a stigma toward illegitimate children are two things highly uncommon in the rest of the male-dominated Seven Kingdoms.
One storyline of note in George R.R. Martin's book series (semi-spoiler alert for non-book readers) is the Dornish character Arianne Martell, who is Oberyn's niece, the daughter of Doran Martell and, most important, the heiress of Dorne. The fact of a woman ruling a region in the Seven Kingdoms is nearly unheard of and quite a progressive notion in the misogynist world of "Thrones." However, book fans were caught by surprise last week when Arianne's name was not included in the list of new characters for Season 5. Even more surprising was the reveal that Trystane Martell, Arianne's younger brother, was described in the HBO press release as the heir to Dorne, thus completely cutting out Arianne.
Kotaku first pointed out Arianne's absence from the new season explaining that Arianne wasn't merely a side character in the books, but "the main character of the whole Dorne plot." Vanity Fair also worries that her omission may add to the series' already-existing problems of misogyny, which were fueled by Season 4's debated rape scene, and that leaving out Arianne is a major missed opportunity for a much-needed boost of female empowerment. The fifth season, however, will sport a handful of new and fearless female characters with the casting of the Sand Snakes, Oberyn's bastard daughters.
Erik Kane at Forbes argues though that the show cutting Arianne from the series is a "good omen." Kane is a proponent of the show cutting back on more minor characters and side storylines that aren't a part of the central plot. After all, Dan Weiss and David Benioff have to cut back somewhere.
However, we all may be jumping the gun, as James Poniewozik at Time notes that last week's press release was only a partial casting announcement. Arianne may show up later in Season 5 or possibly further in the series' future, although it's unlikely she'll play the same significant role since her brother is now the supposed heir. All we can do is wait and see what Weiss and Benioff decide to do with Martin's books in the coming season.

relationship.
The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star and her “Aint Worried About Nothin” music act didn’t hold back on romance when they visited Angie Martinez on Power 105.1

Carlos Slim Helú is once again the world’s richest person, thanks in large part to a sharp increase in telecom giant América Móvil’s share price both in U.S. and Mexican markets. Slim bumped Microsoft (NYSE:MSFT) co-founder Bill Gates from his perch as the world’s richest, a post Gates has held since May 2013.
The move happened on Tuesday when the value of Slim’s phone company América Móvil’s (NYSE:AMX), his largest holding, rose 1% or $805.6 million, pushing his net worth to Forbes estimate of $79.6 billion, against Gates’s estimated $79.1 billion net worth.
América Móvil’s stock has been rising since the company announced plans last week to divest some assets to comply with Mexico’s new antitrust telecom regulations. América Móvil’s shares were sharply higher last Wednesday, 24 hours after the news of the breakup. The company’s shares, which have languished the past year as a result of regulatory pressures in Mexico, jumped 10% on the NYSE the day following the breakup announcement.
Between July 1 and July 11, Slim’s wealth jumped from $74.5 billion to $79.6, a gain of $5.1 billion in 12 business days, an indication that investors are applauding Slim’s unexpected decision to reduce his phone market share below 50% as a new antitrust telecom law mandate comes into play. Investors seem to believe the outcome may actually be better for Slim’s business interests.
Currently, Slim’s América Móvil controls 70% of the mobile phone market in Mexico, and 80% of landlines.
Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto signed the bill into law on Monday in an event attended by Mexico’s top telecom executives, including Carlos Slim Domitt, Slims Helús oldest son and heir apparent.
Slim fell from the top of the Forbes World’s Billionaire list in May 2013 largely due to a sharp drop in América Móvil’s stock, fueled by fears that Mexico’s new antitrust regulations would crumble his telecom empire.
Yet it appears as though the threat has re-energized him. Slim is planning to further expand his presence in Europe and Latin America. In a filing with the Mexican Stock Exchange on Monday, América Móvil said it will acquire an additional 23.47 % stake in Telekom Austria in a buyout offer, lifting the telecom giant’s interest in the company to 50.8%.

Briefing newsmen today, Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Public Health, Dr Yewande Adeshina said the Liberian man being tested for the Ebola Virus is currently at a private hospital in Obalende, Lagos. She said the man has been isolated and the hospital vicinity cordoned off and that 30 other people are also being tested for possible contact with the deadly virus.
