It is a dynamic and stimulating competition to ignite, develop and share your ideas; to collaborate and exchange with other students; to create solutions that are innovative, practical and potentially ‘game-changing’.
In addition, you may also get the chance to engage with Shell experts who will be available to help you structure and communicate your ideas. It’s this passion for innovation – no matter how great or small the idea – that fuels our business, and we are inviting people with creative, innovative ideas, either big or small, that can solve real-world problems, local or global, to help us make an impact on the future.Who can participate?
Shell Ideas360 is open to University students from around the world.
Students wishing to participate must be registered to study full-time at a recognized, degree-awarding institution and should be due to graduate after May 2014. Participants can be studying a Bachelors, Masters or MBA level degree in any discipline. There is no age limit. Current employees, placement students or those in the Shell graduate program cannot participate.

Apart from the opportunity to contribute your own ideas to create a better future, we – and our partner National Geographic – are offering the following:
- The winners will receive a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to join a National Geographic Expedition.
- The most revolutionary ideas will be considered for funding by the Shell Game Changer programme
- Participants selected for the later stages of the Competition will have direct access to Shell Subject Matter Experts and Mentors to help develop their ideas.
- Finalists will be invited to a prestigious event in May 2014, where they will meet an exclusive group of business and thought leaders.
Competition timings:
- Subject to the terms and conditions of the competition which will be published in September 2013.
- Official registration to participate in the competition will begin in September 2013 – if you provide us with some basic contact information, we will notify you when the Competition has launched, as well as keep you updated on any developments before launch.
