The grand finale of the prestigious Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria, MBGN pageant hold today and the atmosphere is thick as the question on the lips of everyone is who emerges the next MBGN queen today?


The grand finale, however,  is coming barely two weeks after 22-year old Abia State-born Ezinne Akudo was crowned Miss Nigeria in a keenly contested pageant that  was held at Eko Hotel and Suites,Lagos.

The MBGN pageant holds this evening at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State. As usual, the atmosphere is charged as the 32 contestants are leaving no stone upturned in their bid to outshine one another  and clinch the coveted crown.

The finale of the Miss Nigeria 2013 beauty pageant was held last night at the Intercontinental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

After a selection process which involved both voters from all over the country and a panel of judges, 22-year old Ezinne Akudo emerged as the winner.

Miss Akudo takes home a 3 million naira cash prize, a brand new car (Corolla), accommodation for a year, a trip to California sponsored by MUD Cosmetics, and free trips to any part of the country by Aero Contractors.

According to our source, Nancy was contacted before the photo-shoot but indicated her interest on the grounds that the photo-shoot be postponed till this weekend to fit into her schedule but her excuse was not tenable. Miss Adaeze, on the other hand showed interest as soon as she was contacted.

With all the Oscar and various other award ceremony preparations going on at the moment, celebrities around the world must be sick of sticking on red carpet attire.

Nevertheless Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz and Michelle Williams managed to look truly amazing when they turned out for the premiere of their latest movie The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, which is a prequel to The Wizard of Oz.

For the occasion Rachel opted for a Victoria Beckham orange gown, Mila donned a Dolce & Gabbana grey prom dress while Michelle slipped into a white, embroidered Prada frock.

Their co-star in the flick James Franco, who plays the Wizard of Oz, didn’t look to shabby either – he arrived at the premiere (in a hot air balloon would you believe) wearing a dapper Gucci suit.
