The Portuguese, who likes to be addressed as the special one, believes there is no need to change the regulations governing coaches' technical areas in the wake of Alan Pardew's clash with Hull's David Meyler.
Newcastle manager Pardew is facing punishment after admitting an FA charge of head-butting the Hull midfielder.
Pardew's actions were condemned by the League Managers' Association chief executive Richard Bevan who revealed the design of touchline technical areas is currently under review.
But Chelsea manager Mourinho, who was charged after a touchline clash with Barcelona assistant coach Tito Vilanova when he was in charge of Real Madrid, insists the current arrangement works well.
"I don't think change is needed. I never had a problem to share a short space with other managers," Mourinho said on Friday.
"In many stadiums, it looks like there's only one dug-out for everybody and that's not a problem.
"The manager should have that freedom to come out and speak with the players, to walk in the technical areas.
"The problem is human nature, and the human nature is open to mistakes. I made mistakes in technical areas, too. I paid for those mistakes. I was suspended for those mistakes. Every one of us can make mistakes."
Mourinho refused to condemn Pardew's behaviour and insisted the Newcastle manager is not the hot-headed character some describe him as.
"In the specific case of Alan, it was a mistake we're not used to seeing," he said.
"He's going to pay for it. In my case, when I had situations in the dug-outs, the biggest punishment is not the money or the matches you're outside, but 'you' recognising yourself that you made a mistake.
"That's the worst punishment, feeling you made a mistake. So it's fair for people like me, saying what they really feel, say he's a great guy, a good friend, and that's more important than the mistake."

The military recovered a cache of arms, comprising of at least 11 Kalashnikov rifles and over 50 assorted brands of grenades.

Security forces were also able to get useful information from the terrorists being captured. One of them, a human butcher, narrated that he had never used firearms, but preferred daggers and cutlasses for killing innocent people.

#CODED-ish News::Lawyer Drags Jonathan, Mark, Tambuwal To Court Over Proposed National Conference
The conference is scheduled to be inaugurated in Abuja on March 17 by President Goodluck Jonathan. A list of 492 delegates to the confab was released on Thursday by the government.
It had earlier appointed its principal officers last Monday. But in a suit no FHC/ABJ/CS/167/204 dated March 3, Mr. Abayomi contended that Mr. Jonathan lacked the power to convoke or convene the National Conference without the backing of a law enacted by National Assembly.
The Senate President, David Mark, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal and the Attorney General of the Federation, Mohammed Adoke, were joined as defendants in the suit.
Mr. Abayomi asked the court to determine whether or not a national conference could be convened by the president and/or the federal government without an Act of the National Assembly.
In an affidavit deposed to by one Patrick Bisong to support the suit, the lawyer alleged that the Federal Government had already planned to spend billions of naira belonging to the public to finance the confab even though there was no law enabling the president to organise it.
The plaintiff also asked the court to restrain the government from convening the conference so that billions of tax payers' money would not be spent unconstitutionally. He also asked for intense judicial scrutiny of the alleged deliberate speed with which Mr. Jonathan was convening the conference. No date has been fixed for the hearing of the suit.

The source said: "Keshi is totally disappointed that Moses is not playing regularly at Livepool which incidentally is the club that he (Keshi) supports. To a large extent, I saw both (Moses and Keshi) having a talk over the matter before the Mexico match.
As you are aware, the World Cup is fast approaching and the Big Boss is eager to have the winger and other squad members enjoy better playing time in their respective clubs,"
Interestingly, Moses only tasted 1 minute action in Liverpool's last two games against Swansea and Southampton respectively. The Nigerian international was an unused sub in last weekend's away win to Southampton.
In all, Moses has made 15 appearances for Liverpool this season scoring just once in the 2-2 draw against Swansea in September 2013.

#CODED-ish News::Obesere Rape Update: They Are Threatening To Kill Me- Lady Cries Out
There were indications, yesterday, that the case involving popular Fuji musician, Alhaji Abass Akande, also known as Obesere, arrested for allegedly raping a 29-year-old business woman, Miss Olanike Olaiya, in his Okota residence may have been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID.
Sources told Vanguard, yesterday, that the embattled musician preferred the SCID to the Isolo Police division because the DPO had insisted on the matter going to court.
Normally, it is the Divisional Police Officer at Isolo Division, Aminu Ibrahim, that should have ordered the transfer of the case to SCID for further investigations.
But Obesere was alleged to have used his contacts in the police to have the case transferred to SCID.
A police source also disclosed that Obesere found it difficult to pressurize the DPO at Isolo into striking out the matter or persuade the victim to accept a settlement.
The source, who craved anonymity, also said Obesere contacted some top citizens to wade into the matter by persuading the DPO to soft-pedal on the matter but they backed down when they discovered that the police have incriminating evidence against the musician.
Victim relocates to Sagamu for treatment
Meantime, the victim, Olaiya, told Vanguard yesterday that she had relocated to her home town, Sagamu in Ogun State, where she is currently receiving treatment for the rape incident.
Olaiya, who spoke with Vanguard on the telephone, said: "As I speak with you, I am in Sagamu, my home town, where I have been receiving traditional treatment since the incident occurred.
I bled for more than two weeks —Victim
"I bled for more than two weeks after Alhaji Obesere raped me and inserted his ring into my private part. The incident occurred on February 12, 2013 and I have spent a lot of money treating myself.
"The DPO, Isolo Police division, took pity on me and refused to give in to Obesere's pressure to strike out the case and God will bless him for that.
"But last week I was informed that the case had been transferred to the SCID and my Investigating Police Office, IPO, at Isolo asked me to come to the station on Tuesday for the transfer.
"But when I got to the SCID, I discovered the IPO, who took over the case, one Mr. Jacob, I don't know his rank, became hostile to me.
"You need to see how this man treated me. He started by asking me to write a new statement and when I tried to explain that I had written a statement at Isolo division, he rebuffed my explanation and insisted I wrote a new one.
They threatened to kill me
"Afterwards, they started threatening me. The IPO, Alhaji Obesere, and some of his brothers, who were present there, asked me to stop the journalists from publishing my story and if I don't, I will be a dead person.
"I was so frightened when they said this and each time my phone rang someone would pick it up to know who was calling.
"Later, they discovered I wasn't going to break, then they started begging me and promised to take care of me. Alhaji Obesere even said he was going to take me to the best hospital for treatment.
"At the end, I rose to leave and they offered to drop me in my place. The IPO also insisted that I should follow them. Instead of taking me to my area, they took me to Obesere's house and the woman who introduced me to him was also there.
"While I was with them I alerted the police at Isolo and told them where I was.
"But yesterday, they called after they saw the publication and started threatening again to kill me.
"I am highly terrified, that was why I travelled back to my home to get some treatment."

Popular Fuji musician, Alhaji Abass Akande, popularly known as Obesere, has been arrested by the Police in Lagos State for allegedly raping a 29-year-old business woman, Miss Olanike Olaiya in his Okota residence, Lagos.
The victim, who took the matter to the Police, also narrated her ordeal in the hands of the musician whose shows generally fascinate society women.According to Olaiya, a National Diploma graduate of business administration from Ibadan Polytechnic,
"I got to know Obesere through one of my friends, Mrs Bola Okoro.
She told me that Obesere would assist me in my business.
"I deal in office equipment and when I contacted Obesere, he asked me to meet him in his family house at Okota.
When I met him, I introduced my business to him and he promised to connect me to some of his friends in Dubai who would sell goods to me on credit.
"After the discussion, he started demanding for s*x and I refused and when I wanted to leave, he insisted I should sleep over in his house because it was late and he claimed that it was dangerous to go out late in the night in his area.
"I thought he was a responsible man and I decided to sleep over, but at the dead of the night, he came into the room where I slept and pounced on me.
"He raped me and afterwards inserted a ring he wore into my private part and I started bleeding. He hurriedly left me in the room saying he had an appointment to fulfil.
"I could not bear the trauma and the bleeding and I reported the matter to the police."
Vanguard gathered that Obesere was first arrested last Wednesday by the Police at Isolo Police Division, where Olaiya reported the matter.
He was subsequently released on administrative bail.
He was later re-arrested on Monday, when medical examination conducted on Olaiya revealed that she was actually raped and the Divisional Police Officer, Isolo, Adamu Ibrahim, was said to have ordered the transfer of the matter to State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, Panti, Yaba, for further investigation.
Sources disclosed that Obesere's arrest was made possible through a warrant of arrest issued by the Chief Magistrate of Isolo Magistrate Court, Mrs Kike Bukola Ayeye, as he had declined to honour several police invitations sent to his house at Johnson Famiye Street, Canal Estate, Ago, Okota.
We are lovers — Obesere Police sources also said Obesere in his statement denied ever raping Olaiya, rather he claimed she was his lover and they made love when she visited him.
The source added that Obesere claimed he asked her to go to a private hospital for treatment when she complained that she was bleeding, but he was surprised when she reported to the police that she was raped.
