Nigeria@54
"Arise, O Compatriots" (1978–present)
Arise, O compatriots,
Nigeria's call obey
To serve our Fatherland
With love and strength and faith.
The labour of our heroes past
Shall never be in vain,
To serve with heart and might
One nation bound in freedom, peace and unity.

O God of creation
Direct our noble cause
Guide our leaders right
Help our youth the truth to know
In love and honesty to grow
And living just and true
Great lofty heights attain
To build a nation where peace
And justice shall reign.

#CODED-ish Gist: Hmm!! Tiwa Savage Allegedly Evacuates Matrimonial Home

Tiwa&Tunji
Tiwa Savage was said to have relieved her husband, who also doubles as her manager off his ‘managerial’ duties. The beautiful actress who recently performed in a controversial attire which revealed all her body contours was said to be having marital issues, hence the need to change her manager, Kemi Filani reveals.

The award winning singer-songwriter, recording artist, performer, and actress who is referred to as Mavin First Lady got married some months back in a star studded and a high-classed wedding.
However, the beautiful singer who cherishes her mother so much because of the impact she took in her life while growing up has employed Emeka, Mekka Millions as her new manager.

Although speculations have been up since she has been stepping out to functions alone without the husband, Kemi Filani revealed that the marital crisis was as a result of Tiwa’s husband, Teebliz beating her up black and blue always. She also made it known that although family and friends have not been able to pacify her not to walk out of her marriage.

The beautiful singer who is known for wishing every celebrity a happy birthday and even updating her Instagram and Twitter accounts praising her new hubby however raised eyebrows when she refused to wish her hubby a happy birthday on Instagram some few days back not until later in the day.

And even when she did, there were no ‘sweet, loving words’ that was expected to come along with the photo update. The photo got a lot of comments on Instagram as many speculated something must truly be wrong while others think the couple might just be going through the normal hard times that many newly-wedded couple go through.

However, the new manager who is said to be a protégé of TeeBillz is now saddled with the responsibilities of going to most events with her, pick calls on her behalf and many more. Meka Millions is also currently managing fast rising rapper, Olusegun Olowokere aka Iceberg Slim.

It has however been revealed that the beautiful singer left the house yesterday afternoon to a friend’s place to stay temporarily. While family members are still advising the couple not to divorce. It would be recalled that just recently, the Songstress made it known that her husband, Tunji Balogun aka Teebillz can’t divorce her neither can he return her to her

Arthur Gillis (left) former CEO of the Protea Hospitality Group and Alex Kyriakidis, president and managing director of Marriott International Middle East & Africa.

Dubai - Marriott International, Africa’s largest hotel company following its strategic acquisition of Protea Hotel Group, continues to gather momentum with a packed schedule of 30 property openings across the continent by 2020, 9 of which will open by the end of 2015.

“The potential of the African market is awe inspiring and only really matched by the extraordinary people and places we encounter every day as our brands puts down roots across the continent,” said Alex Kyriakidis, president and managing director, Marriott International Middle East and Africa.

“Over the next few years we plan to expand our presence even further from 10 countries to 17 with a capital investment by Marriott’s real estate partners of $1.5bn across the continent. With it, we will create jobs and support local communities because our success is only ever possible through strong bonds of friendship, trust and cooperation in the markets we inhabit.”

With a strong eye on the extended stay segment a new Residence Inn by Marriott Kampala Kololo has just been signed, bringing the total property count under the Protea Hotels and Residence Inn brands in Uganda alone to three.

A raft of further openings will follow in 2015 across the continent with openings in South Africa, Nigeria and Uganda, as well as Marriott International’s first properties in Ethiopia, Ghana and Rwanda.
Marriott Executive Apartments Addis Ababa, owned by Sunshine Business, will be the first property under the extended stay brand to open in Africa.

By 2020, in Africa, Marriott International is set to go from 120 properties, 14 000 rooms across 10 markets, to 150 properties with 19 000 rooms across 17 markets.

As a result, the company which currently employs 21 000 associates across Africa, will see its work-force increase by 10 000. “The fundamental demand generators that drive our industry are alive and well on this continent,” said Kyriakidis.

“Marriott International’s investment into this region represents the economic realization for the need for hotels – countries need to invest in infrastructure, accommodation and airports to create jobs to grow the economy."
