#CODED-ish Gist:: Obesere to turn his rape scandal into a movie

Lol, the things you hear. Fuji star, Abass Akande aka Obesere has written a script centred around the rape scandal he was recently involved in and is presently shopping for actors who will interpret the role effectively.
Confirming this, his publicist Deola Adeoti said;
“The movie is targeted at unraveling the mystery behind the rape scandal. A whole lot of things have been said about him in the past few weeks, but I think this movie will tell the world the plain truth. Apart from his own experience, Obesere is aware of some men who had been blackmailed with this same scandal and he felt that it was high time he exposed some of these women of evil.”

#CODED-ish Gist:: Wizkid and girlfriend Tania Omotayo have parted ways?

Before now, sensational singer, Wizkid and his pretty babe, Tania Omotayo, used to be an item. But it seems things are no longer at ease between the young couple.
In fact, it looks like they have carried their ‘beef’ to the social media going by what they posted on their Instagram pages earlier in the week.
Tania had posted a picture with the caption, ‘just because you love somebody so much does not mean they are the right one for you.’
Soon after, the singer posted a picture where he itemised inscriptions, ‘single, married, in a relationship, it is complicated, in the studio.’ On the list, he marked ‘in the studio.’  In other words, telling his fans that he was neither single nor married and of course, not in any relationship.

For a while, there have been speculations that the couple were having problems as they have not been spotted together at events as frequently as they used to. Those who know claimed they have moved on with their lives. In fact, a source close to the couple confirmed to Saturday Beats that their relationship is over.

The source claimed the lovebirds went their separate ways last December. Although the reason for their split is still unknown, the source was doubtful whether either of them was in a relationship.
“They have split for a long time now. In fact, I think it was since December. I don’t know why they broke up and I don’t know if Wizkid is in another relationship but they are no more together,” the source said.

When Saturday Beats called the singer's manager, Godwin Tom, to confirm the split, he did not pick his calls neither did he reply the text message sent to him.

#CODED-ish News::Girl Mutilates Rival Over Love Affair With Her Man (WARNING: GRAPHIC PHOTOS)

A teenager, Haliya Odunaya, may have to abandon schooling for the time pending the time the deep cut inflicted on her neck by a woman, who accused her of illicit affair with her husband, would heal. Haliya, a Senior Secondary School class 2 pupil, is lying critically ill at Stars Clinic on Apapa Road, Ebute Metta West, Lagos where doctors are battling hard to save her life.

When she was rushed to the hospital on Saturday, March 15, 2014 Haliya, not many believed that she would make it. Haliya, 15, lives with her parents at Shomore, on Ilogbo area of Oyingbo in Lagos Mainland Local Government Area of the state.

The third born of a family of five children, Haliya, it was gathered, was a victim of a jealous lover who would not want anyone be near her boyfriend.

It was learnt that one Funmilola, probably of the same age as Haliya, stabbed her over suspicion based bordering on this. It was reported that a couple of weeks before the incident, Funmilola, had approached Haliya when she started noticing the closeness of her (Haliya) and her lover.

Then, Funmilola had reportedly warned Haliya to stay off her man, reportedly threatening to go any length with anyone she found around the man.

Further was gathered that a day before she attacked Haliya, Funmilola reportedly stripped another lady stark naked in the same locality for the same reason.

Thus, on that fateful Saturday, Funmilola was allegedly informed by another friend that Haliya was in company with her (Funmilola's) boyfriend. It was reported that before Funmilayo got to where Haliya and the man were supposedly standing, both had left and she headed straight for Haliya's house.

As Haliya appeared from the corner of the street, Funmilola reportedly accosted her and began to rain abuses on the young lady. Speaking on her hospital bed, Haliya, who denied having an affair the man in question narrated continued the story.

"I was coming from where I went to buy something that night when Funmilola met me at the end of the street.

She started pushing me and insulting me but I did not utter a word. When I entered our house, she stood outside and was shouting at the top of her voice heaping insults on my parents and I.

"At that stage I decided to respond to her threats and went to meet her to warn her against insulting my mother. After I had told her my mind, I turned to go back into our building and that was when she (Funmilola) dragged me back and produced a sharp object from under her cloths and attacked me with it," Haliya alleged.

Funmilola, it was gathered, had fled the community while the man at the centre of the storm would not answer his telephone calls when contacted.

He only told some confidants that he had nothing to do with the two young ladies. It was reported that Funmilola did not let go of Haliya until the latter slumped having lost a lot of blood. Dr. Adeolu Olusodo, is currently battling to save the young girl's life in his clinic.

Speaking about the severity of the cuts on Haliya, he expressed shock over the attack and injury inflicted on Haliya.

According to Olusodo, Haliya could have died in the process should the cuts had been more. His words: "It is strange that a young girl would inflict such injuries on another fellow girl.

Haliya was luck to be alive and it was because she had a good escape because if the cuts had gone down a little, it would have resulted in loss of so much blood and could have touched some sensitive parts of her body, which could have led to loss of her life."

No one in Funmilola's family was ready to speak with the press or comment on the whereabouts of their daughter.

Haliya's parents also would not want to speak to the press but it was gathered that the community was on their neck to allow sleeping dog lie on the matter since their daughter survived the gruesome attack.

A family member of Haliya who would want to be quoted said on telephone that the matter would not be allowed to lie low since Funmilola had engaged in a similar act before now. "How on earth would you sweep this kind of crime under the carpet?

The girl could come round next time and do it to anyone else. She must be stopped. Who takes care of the hospital bills not minding some drugs that she would need to regain the lost strength and blood?"

#CODED-ish News:: N30M PROPERTY DESTROYED IN BOWEN VARSITY CRISIS —VC

o
•Culprits face expulsion
AUTHORITIES of Bowen University, Iwo, Osun State, have estimated property destroyed by protesting students at over N30 million, just as they assured parents that only identified culprits of the disturbances would be penalised.
The vice chancellor of the university, Professor Mathews Ojo, told Saturday Tribune on Friday that a comprehensive review of the disturbances and their circumstances had been directed with the institution’s disciplinary committee already working on the situation.
He gave the assurance that innocent students would not suffer any injustice, just as he assured parents that the university was committed to the welfare of their children.
The vice chancellor confirmed that the university would re-open on April 1, but denied reports that the authorities were closing the halls of residence against students during daytime.
He added that identified culprits would be given the opportunity to defend themselves, assuring parents that the bad eggs behind the crisis would be weeded out.
On electricity problem in the institution, Professor Ojo said, “Iwo township has been without electricity for the past 11 days. We have since then been running the institution on generator.”
Acting head of the university’s chaplain, Reverend (Mrs) Janet Oluwoye, described the incident as unprecedented, saying the situation was a challenge the institution and the parents should work together to address.

#CODED-ish Gist: [A MUST READ] Uni. Ibadan Graduate Writes Open Letter To GEJ, Titles it "BEFORE I JOIN BOKOHARAM"-

BEFORE I JOIN BOKOHARAM- Letter to GEJ
By Abdulai O. A.

Dear Mr. President
I write to Nigeria and our President today, not as somebody who is proud of his choice of topic, but, as a
frustrated Nigerian graduate who by ways of hopelessness provoked by the inadequacies of our government, is beginning to consider the prospects of identifying with one of the groups against the State.

I am a Nigerian and I love my country Nigeria. I had my Primary and Secondary School Certificates in the North.
After the qualifications, I approached South-Western Nigeria for my Degree where I joined and graduated from Nigeria’s acclaimed best University years ago. I remain a student of Logic and strategy. My first encounter with frustration directed at the State surfaced during my Secondary School days. At that level, I nearly missed my Secondary education because my mum who remains a teacher hardly earned her worth- the State Government would pay her once in eight months. I now had to outsource. I began to serve until I completed my secondary education. My frustration was that the State was unfair to her despite the fact that she took her time to serve it.

As a student of the University of Ibadan, I won several awards. Academically, I was a leader. I was among the three top graduates our Department produced that year. I paid attention to academic details. I paid that serious attention with the hope that when I graduate, I would have the concrete, realistic opportunity to contest for a job. This impression was to be jettisoned few months after.

My first job interview was a scam. I attended the second interview and met over Five Thousand Applicants for a job that required just two slots. I later realized that, that job advert was just ceremonial. They had already employed their candidates but only wanted to deify illegality. The seventh job I applied revealed something to me. When we left for the interview, then I was a corps member with one of Nigeria’s security outfit, I realized that securing a job in Nigeria doesn’t work under the principle of what you know. It rests on who you know first. In fact, many job platforms would require at the prima facie that you fill in your source. Should you indicate your source of information about the job to be a search engine, you will never be considered in the first place until you indicate that you know of the job from ‘a thief that matters’.

While I was busy doing my applications up and down, one of my friends who could not appropriately write his name was on his way to becoming a leader in one of Nigeria’s first-class banks. He didn’t read accounting, he didn’t read economics, he read anthropology. His choice of course was/is not the issue. The issue remains that
this friend never applied for a job for once but got it three months to the time he was to finish his NYSC.

Do you know his secret? He was dating a top politician’s daughter. As I speak, this friend of mine works with the ‘lender of last resort’ as a senior staff. The case of my friend perfectly captures the reason why things would never work in Nigeria, why no innovation, productive steps would be registered, after all, at the end of it all, if you like, know from Maiduguri to Badagry, no one will consider you if you don’t know anybody.

That is why it pisses me off when some hogs sit there and say Nigerian graduates are not employable. Why would they be employable when eighty percent of the ones you induct are ground zero, brought up only because they know you or the other that matters? Why will they do what the job requires when the only knowledge they have is that they know somebody who can press for them, or you want them in for sexual gratification or runz? My roll of applications continued until my 20th application. This time, I reasoned that since I cannot secure a job elsewhere and doesn’t know anybody, I should create a job for myself. I think I made a mistake here.

Instead of trying to set up a legitimate job at that stage, I should have hustled criminally never to get caught for me to survive first before setting up my legitimate business. I didn’t reason that way at first because I felt the government, people in the society who would go to a public arena and tell youths to create a job for them would buy into my idea and support me. Sincerely nobody, no individual despite working with professionals to erect my proposals with demonstration of concrete gain answered me.

In fact, even those who I managed to text that I am so, so person doing so, so something and that they should allow me to come and present my idea to them never picked my calls thereafter.
My Vice Chancellor, Senate Minority Leader and my State Governor are victims of this and others I approached. They never allowed me to present my idea to them and never picked my call after the first introduction. Why, because I did not come from somebody that matters- because my father doesn’t hold circles with them.

The job I created which has the potential of employing at least One Hundred and Fifty Nigerians in two years time, at the moment with Eight Corps members working for it began to run its course. The money I needed was Three Hundred Thousand to assure my future and the future of close to Two Hundred Nigerians including the Corps members who shared the dream and joined the movement. Nobody came to my rescue, no individual. Now, the future of that job platform is fuzzy.

Now that it seems I am in losing in everything recommended by the State for me to survive because of lack of support, it seems I have some options. I feel as a student of Logic/Reasoning and Intelligence, since I am of no use to the State, and the State cannot guarantee my future all rounds, I should go against the State by identifying with some of the groups against it.

The State doesn't know how I survive; that I exist is not known to it. But that group may know.
Now,
I know that Government creates jobs only on paper and at worst, for the children and other relatives of those that steer it. I am not among the categories. Mine is the category of abandoned graduates who, in fact, the government call at random, force them to pay One Thousand Naira for their deaths, gather them in a stadium and kill them in the name of giving them a job.

Now I know also that the people who preach that youth should create jobs instead of depending on Government should not be taken seriously. How can a youth who can barely eat, who although has graduated, is been frustrated and kept out of job by these Chairmen, create a job when you cannot support him/her when he comes to you? In fact, it pays to know that you talk of other ways of psyching one than embarrassing your tongue.

Your Excellency, to stay and die hungry pays less than to die with food in the belly. If you were in my shoe and you had the option of joining Boko Haram, Yahoo Yahoo to feed once and be killed, with killing under probability, and, may be, remain something for your family on the one hand, and to starve and die of hunger because the society has refused to help you in all ways you have tried to be useful within the law, nothing for your family whatsoever, under the circumstances discussed above, which one will you choose?
I hope I will get this answer before the job I have created will crumble, before the graduates working with me finally give up to consider what no one would welcome but could happily be done by a hungry and frustrated graduate!

Thank You Mr. President
From a frustrated Graduate

#CODED-ish Gist:: Drake already dumped Rihanna?

This report is most likely not true...but it's an interesting read. Culled from MediaTakeOut! Enjoy...
MediaTakeOut.com reported yesterday that the day after Rihanna left Drake (the pair spent the week together), Rih was getting her back blown out on the dancefloor by some West Indian dude.
Well MediaTakeOut.com can officially report...the two of them are broken up! This ain't rumor either y'all . . . it's fact. And yes, we came prepared to show receipts!!
We spoke with a person close to Drake's OVO crew, who told us that Drake kicked Rihanna off his tour...because she was acting up. According to our snitch, after spending the week with Rihanna, Drake hit it repeatedly...and quit it!
According to our REAL RELIABLE INSIDER, Drake's OVO crew was NOT FEELING RIHANNA at all - they felt she was TOO BOSSY AND CONDESCENDING ESPECIALLY TOWARDS DRAKE'S CREW - so they kept pressuring Drake to cut her loose. Eventually it worked, because we're told that RIHANNA WANTED TO STAY ON TOUR with Drake . . . but Drake was like NAH . . . it's time for you to GO HOME.

And one day after he CUT RIHANNA LOOSE, Drake flew his REAL GIRL, WINTA'NNA to be with him in Ireland.

MediaTakeOut.com received word from a DIFFERENT VERY reliable source that Drake has been dating a LOVELY young British Ethiopian girl named WINTA'NNA for about two years now. They're kind of ON AND OFF, but more ON than off. She's the girl that Drake rapped about in Poetic Justice, the East African girl with the big azz in the sun dress. After Rihanna got PUT OUT . . . Drake flew in his REAL GIRL, whom Drake's crew LOVES!!

And so now for the receipts. We have THREE pics from WINTA'NNA Instagram page. Well First off look at the below pics, you'll see that she's wearing the SAME ST PATRICK'S DAY SHIRT as Drake. And in the second pic, she's bragging about being flown on a private jet to Ireland (Drake had a concert in Ireland that day). And third, most CONVINCING RECEIPT . . . is the pic of him wearing the same shoes that he wore onstage in her car.

#CODED-ish Gist:: Bowen University closed indefinitely following students' riot

The management of Bowen University closed the school indefinitely following students' protest the previous night. Students of the private uni. say they are protesting scarcity of electricity, water and plans by the university to increase school fees. The students say they are not being treated right
"They take the light by 8am, and bring it back by 8pm and it goes off by 11pm again. We don't have water, no socket light, while our lecturers are in AC offices and cars. We have time table for eating. 7-9am for breakfast, 12-3 for lunch and 6-8 for dinner. Most times we have classes during these periods" one student told me.
All students have been asked to leave the university...while some students who were detained last night after the riot are yet to be released. Continue...

#CODED-ish:: BOWEN UNIVERSITY OUTRAGE!!!! who is responsible?

For the first time in my life I perceived the conc smell of tear gas……………and it wasn’t funny. Questions sprung up in my head as the smell took over me. I asked myself if chickens could stand up for themselves and fight against them being massacred on christmas, I asked myself if little children could actually collect the belts, used to flog them, from their parents while being beaten and use it to flog their own parents back. I had an answer and that answer is the reason for the violence tonight 19th of march 2014.
The vice chancellor unknowingly and slowly accumulated kegs of gun powder and handed the students the matches and lighters when he introduced new rules that sent the bowen student community into an unending phase of silent complaint. ‘Ohhhs’ and ‘aahhhs’ in chapel became constant after every announcement of a new rule and specific rules such as the banning of take away packs and the introduction of breakfast, lunch and dinner times, left so many people so perplexed that some unknowingly staggered out of the chapel, confused, after this new rules were announced in the chapel a few weeks ago.
The words of complaints of students slowly filled ‘book’ after ‘book’ of anger as they were stacked continuously in an imaginary library of violence. From small books to textbooks as the problem of water sprung up among other problems such as the problem of electricity supply that finally filled the shelf. On the morning prior to the outrage, students had to go on an ‘adventure’ to search for water. Many students got back to the hostel with empty buckets, those that found water protected it, as they walked slowly like zombies back to the hostel, as if their lives depended on it. The absence of light added pepper to our injuries as students wondered whether the expensive school fees did not cover electricity supply. Some students were even found using torchlight to read in the school’s library and THIS made me ask myself what century we were actually in.
The outrage started in John Hall where it was reported that some gadgets including an ipad, a blackberry z10 and some laptops got spoilt this evening at around 7:30pm by the flunctuating power supply. This pushed the students of john hall over the edge as they started throwing louvre blades, destroying dustbins, breaking doors , attacking the portahs, among other unspeakables. Just as we thought it was about to end, the other halls, luke followed by mark and matthew, became possessed with the spirit of violence.
The outrage continued as the angry students attacked security guards, set their motorcycles on fire, vandalized the both school complexes as they went on smashing windows and unleashing dragons imprisoned in them for so long. The peak if it all was when the angry boys decided to progress towards the main campus. With the way they dressed, they could have been confused for militants and the Boko Haram as they tied black cloth around their faces and were bare chested with sticks with which they used to show their aggression. They ran steadily toward the main campus where the main female hostels are and at that point, the few sane students that watched the drama unfold began to pray………………….
As we expected but prayed against, they entered the female hostels but only proceeded to damage the hostel louvrers among other things. Some female students also joined in the protest as they refused to be left out. Halls such as Laosebikan hall (known as LAS), AGA, courtsey unit office and the Administration block were not left unharmed. A fire was started right in front of the female complex and the flames which tried its best to drive the thick darkness away could be seen from a far distance.
It was reported that some of the students attacked one of the school’s chaplains. Witnessses report that the group of boys saw the chaplain in his car and initially hesistated before their sanity gave way to insanity and so, attacked him, busting his car tires, smashing his car windscreen and mocking him with disrespective words. A girl at the scene that tried to take pictures was simply made to cry and give up with a few slaps. Students walked the streets with cigarettes in between their hands without fear. Now it was the time for the school management to fear, not them.
Students that reached the school gate went out of the school premises and went back in at free will, until sirenes of the mobile policemen brought them back to their senses. Students were seen running helter skelter as the police men drove into the school and started shooting into the air. Some took refuge in the dirty gutters, some ran into the female hostels while others found their way into unfriendly bushes scattered around the school. The very few that had the liver stood though they were obviously high on something, either anger or weed.
That was when I began to perceive the tear gas which the police men had thrown to disperse the mob. My eyes began to pepper me and I saw many other students begin to rub their eyes too in discomfort. I knew that that was our very first punishment. Others were definitely on their way, the vice chancellor would make sure they arrived quickly. But the question that rang through my mind as my phone rang, my dad calling me, was ‘Who will be spared?’
Some students were caught in the act and these ones shall be the matyrs of today, 19th march 2014. Some may call them stupid and indisciplined, others may call them Generation Changers.
