#CODED-ish News::Man Buried Alive Under Collapsed Building In Ibadan (PHOTO)

The debris of a 2-storey building allegedly buried alive a tipper driver identified as Kabiru at Ologuneru in Ido Local Government area of Ibadan city.

According to anonymous survivor, before the collapse of the uncompleted building, around 2pm the workers heard a deafening noise which made all of them to run out of the building. At that time they were mixing granite and cement to deck the middle floor of the building.

It was gathered that the man trapped under the debris was a tipper driver who were having a short nap during the incident. "He had supplied many loads of granite. He was told to transfer one of the heaps of granite to another place. When his boys were trying to reload the granite, he said he wanted to have a short nap and have told his boys to wake him after the loading was done," an eyewitness said.

Officials of Oyo State Government, Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, Federal Road Safety Corps and other agencies brought the crane to the side to lift heavy debris up to rescue the man. But at the time of the report, the man wan't rescued and the youths at the site became hostile because they believe the tipper driver may have died already.

It was gathered that the engineer supervising the project had run away immediately after the building collapsed.

#CODED-ish News::US Sends Another Warning To American Citizens Living In Nigeria

The United States has sent two separate warnings to its citizens in Nigeria and those coming for the upcoming World Economic Forum, WEF, holding in Abuja next week.

According to the warning statement issued by the US State Department, the American government wants its citizens living in Nigeria to take precaution of likely attacks by Boko Haram terrorists.

The statement warned Americans in the country to avoid travelling to Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe states where the Islamic sect has carried out a series of terrorist attacks, and kidnappings.

In a separate statement, the State Department issued a special warning to American delegates planning to attend the World Economic Forum in Abuja.

That annual three day meeting is scheduled to hold from 7-9 May in Abuja.

Below is the travel warning:

The Department of State warns U.S. citizens of the risks of travel to Nigeria and recommends that U.S. citizens avoid all travel to Adamawa, Borno, and Yobe states because of the May 14, 2013 state of emergency proclamation for those three states by the Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

As of late April, groups associated with terrorism allegedly planned to mount an unspecified attack against the Sheraton Hotel in Nigeria, near the city of Lagos. There was no further information regarding which of the two Sheraton Hotels in Lagos was the possible target, or if both of the Sheraton Hotels are possible targets.

There is no further information regarding the timing or method of attack. U.S. citizens are cautioned to avoid these hotels at this time.

The security situation in the country remains fluid and unpredictable. The U.S. Department of State strongly urges U.S. citizens in Nigeria to keep personal safety and health in the forefront of your planning. We remind U.S. citizens to review your personal security plans; remain aware of your surroundings, including local events; and monitor local news stations for updates. Maintain a high level of vigilance and take appropriate steps to enhance your personal security."

On the World Economic Forum, the second warning read:

"The U.S. Embassy in Nigeria alerts U.S. citizens to the occurrence of the World Economic Forum (WEF) on Africa. The event will be held in Abuja May 7- May 9, 2014. There will be a heavy security presence throughout Abuja during the week of the event and additional security checkpoints and traffic delays can be expected.

WEF officials and Nigerian authorities have designated several areas within the Abuja city center as secure zones, including the International Convention Centre, the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, Eagle Square, and several major hotels. Additional security checks and access restrictions can be expected in these areas.

The detonation of two separate vehicle-borne explosive devices on April 14 and May 1 in the Abuja suburb of Nyanya underscores the continued need for vigilance, particularly around churches, mosques, and other places of worship; locations where large crowds may gather; hotels; markets; malls; and other areas frequented by expatriates and foreign travelers."

Such warnings issued by the U.S. State Department are common in war zones, regions of conflict, countries undergoing civil unrest, or in so-called 'disturbed areas,' where American citizenry may travel, whether in business or vacation.

Analysts believe that the warnings indicate Washington is focusing more on Boko Haram activities since they were issued following recent events Nigeria.

It could be recalled that American diplomats in Nigeria have raised alarm over possible attack of terrorist groups on the financial hotel(s) in Lagos.

According to the information provided by the US Consulate General in Lagos, "groups associated with terrorism allegedly planned to mount an unspecified attack against the Sheraton Hotel in Nigeria, near the city of Lagos".

#CODED-ish News::How Borno Governor Caused Kidnap Of School Girls In Chibok – WAEC

Fresh revelations have emerged that suggest that the kidnap of over 200 students of Government Girls Secondary School in Chibok might not have happened if the Borno State Government had heeded the advice of the West African Examination Council, WAEC.

According to the the head of WAEC's National Office in Nigeria, Charles Eguridu, the examination body had informed Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno State about the poor security situation in the state and declined to conduct its Senior School Certificate Examination in unsafe parts of Borno, including Chibok some months ago.

The Educationist added that Gov. Shettima made them to change their decision after he assured them of adequate security measures.
Mr. Eguridu stated this on Friday night at the First Lady's conference room, Presidential Villa, Abuja while answering questions from several women including the first lady, Patience Jonathan, wives of state governors, female legislators at federal and state levels, and leaders of various women organizations.

Borno State Commissioner of Women Affairs, Inna Galadima, represented the wife of the Borno Governor, Nana Shettima, at the event.

The WAEC official reportedly tendered the letters written to the governors of Adamawa, Borno, and Yobe to prove his claim, saying that Mr. Shettima assured the Council, in writing, that adequate security would be provided.

Borno State Governor, Kashim Shettima allegedly ignore WAEC's warning about insecurity in the state

He also told the women about an earlier experience last year when three of its staff were killed while conducting a similar examination in a school along the Yola-Maiduguri road.

He said the tragic incident influenced their decision to ask for all centres in remote areas in Adamawa, Yobe and Borno to be moved to the states' capitals.

Mr Eguridu added further that the Borno governor, who initially declined transferring the final year students from centres in remote areas like Chibok to the state capital, finally agreed to do so after the kidnap.

The Borno Government is yet to react to WAEC's claim as at the time of compiling this report.

#CODED-ish News::EFCC Arrests 6 Over N5.5m Bank Fraud

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, yesterday, said it had arrested six persons, including two staff of Skye Bank, over an alleged N5.5m fraud.

The suspects were identified as Ademola Okunlola, 36; Tajudeen Oluwanisola, 41; Kolawole Adams, 52; Temitope Pedro, 27; Bayo Olowoyo, 39 and Otunba Biodun Adebanjo, 56. They were arrested in different parts of Lagos when operatives of the commission received a complaint that the suspects had fraudulently transferred N5.5 million from the account of one Ajani Kareem Musibau, a customer of Skye Bank Plc.

The anti-graft agency's spokesperson, Wilson Uwujeren, said the fraudulent transfers took place on March 3, 2014.

"Ademola Okunlola, a staff of Skye Bank, Ikeja Branch, Lagos, set the stage for the scam when he covertly used his camera phone to capture the photograph and signature specimen of Musibau.

"He accessed his account and sent the details to another staff of the bank, Bayo Olowoyo, at the Toyin Street, Ikeja branch.

"The duo reportedly sent Musibau's photograph and signature specimen to a member of their syndicate who effected the money transfer into two accounts: N4.1 million was moved into Adebajo Biodun Olusola's account with Wema Bank, Sagamu branch, Ogun State while N1.4 million was moved into another account operated by Temitope Pedro with Guaranty Trust Bank, Ikeja branch."

Wilson further stated that the suspects will be arraigned in court as soon as investigation is concluded.

#CODED-ish Fact::The 12 Types Of Dudes Who Will Try To Pick You Up At A Bar

As a single female, I'm all too familiar with the dating scene and the post-traumatic stress often endured after a night out at the bar. "We met online," is the new "we met at a bar," and there's a reason for that: far too many evenings are spent swatting away deadbeats and touchy-feely drunk dudes. So before you head out to your favorite pub, be prepared to get hit on by one of these 12 types of guys.

1. The Sloppy Drunk Guy: He stumbles into you as he's walking your way, knocks your drink out of your hand and slurs his words as he fumbles around to find napkins. Be prepared to tell him your name a minimum of three times and listen to the same story on loop, or perhaps just a statement of choice, like "you have really nice hair." You can try to ignore him and turn away, but he will persist, yelling over loud music and becoming "that guy" who everyone is staring at like a bad car accident. You do your best to make facial expressions that communicate to others that you do not know him. Eventually, he leaves you alone and starts dancing to himself in the corner until he falls out of the bar or is escorted out by security.

2. The Guy You'd Never Consider: This is a really unfortunate case of "he just doesn't get it." You're completely out of his league, he's not your type, and Hell would have to freeze over before you even considered getting with him. You wouldn't think twice about swiping him on Tinder, but now he's right in front of you, so tough shit.

3. The Talker: This guy will introduce himself to you and won't shut. the. hell. up. Despite the fact that he's been talking to you (or at you) for 15 minutes while you're zoning out and playing the movie "Cocktail" in your head, he keeps chatting. And don't think awkward silences will stop him. You can give him one word answers, turn and talk to your friends or try and order a drink, but he continues to tell you about his cousin's bar mitzvah and ask you about your childhood pet.

4. The Guy With The Obnoxious Friends: It doesn't matter if you've just met Prince Charming, because his friends are enough to piss off the Pope. While he's striking up a conversation with you, his idiot entourage will likely be doing one of the following: making blowjob gestures behind his back, throwing balls of straw wrappers at his head or yelling out "TAP THAT a*s!" while he tries to ignore them.

5. The Serial Flirter: You saw him sashaying his way across the room chatting up every woman with a pulse and he's finally made it to you. He may have been appealing if he hadn't just approached every single one of your lady friends… and their friends… and theirs, but don't bother trying to call him out on his player ways. He will deny it. You must have been watching some other guy in a Knicks hat and zig-zag button down mackin' it.

6. The Married Guy: This guy has no shame at all. He's wearing his wedding ring and is screening calls from "Home" while he's aggressively flirting with you. He never mentions his personal life in conversation and sidesteps it when you ask him. On the rare chance that you ask about his ring and he admits he's married, be prepared to hear him say: "What, so I can't make a new friend?" or "My wife is cool with it."

7. The Old Weirdo: He's the creeper in the bar who everyone notices, but tries to ignore. He's got at least two decades on the rest of the crowd, and bops his head to the music like he actually knows who Kendrick Lamar is. These individuals are usually sporting one or more of the following: a trucker hat, a rat tail or mullet, a P0*nstache, and/or dad jeans. He will try to slyly work his way into your dance circle without notice, and it will not work.

8. The "Too Close For Comfort" Guy: Of all of the types of dudes who've hit on me at bars, I loathe this kind the most. Touchy-feely guys don't waste any time getting to know you before they're throwing an arm around you, putting their sweaty hands on the small of your back (or maybe on your a*s) and talking to you from approximately three inches away from your face so you can practically taste the burger they just ate. He is the reason bars don't sell pepper spray.

9. The "Too Cool For You" Guy: You lock eyes from across the room and you KNOW he wants to talk to you, but it's not that easy. He continues to eye f**k you as he chats up his buddies, wrangling in other girls and will eventually make his way over to you. But don't expect him to initiate conversation— he's way too cool. You're going to have to be the first to speak up, and even then, he's going to pretend you're bothering him. He then finds a nice little home in the douche zone and will go home alone.

10. The Charmer: He's personable, super funny and has you and all of your friends hooked in no time. It doesn't matter what he looks like, because you'll be too busy hysterically laughing at his impression of Schmidt from "New Girl" that you won't even care that your vodka just came out of your nose. He's the ringleader of his friends who loooove going out with him because he effortlessly initiates contact with the ladies for them. Even if you don't end up swapping numbers, be glad that you burned all of your cocktail calories laughing your a*s off.

11. The Rico Suave Guy: You're ordering a drink and minding your own when some sly guy comes up behind you and orders one for himself and one for "the pretty lady." Eventually, he's bought a round for you and all of your friends and you find yourself admiring his Sperry topsiders as he guides you and your pals into the VIP section. He says all the right things, wants to know about your hopes and dreams and doesn't talk to your b**bs. He may or may not have hoes in different area codes, but that's okay. Just enjoy yourself and go along for the ride.

12. The Foreigner: You may have no idea what he's saying because his accent is so thick, but WHO CARES?! He's hot, foreign, sounds sexy and is looking for fun. You'll compare travel stories, teach each other curse words in your respective languages and probably make out. If you're lucky, he'll eventually say something in his native tongue that sounds really hot and you'll leave the bar together so he can, um… explore your village (if you know what I'm sayin').

She said one of her man friend who is based in South Africa wanted séx from her by force and because she refused he decided to set her up.
She has decided to expose everything. Read her story below:

I left Nigeria for South Africa to shoot my movie, Nwa Abakaliki in South Africa on Monday April 7 2014 with Prince Ekeh, Muma Gee's husband. I paid for his flight and accommodation from Port Harcourt to Lagos and from Lagos to South Africa. Then at a point, I decided to move to a hotel so as to give him space and a friend of mine called M.K said I should come over to her place at North Gate Estate where I can pay less for my accommodation because she has a 3 bedroom flat.

So I moved in and met a friend of mine called Prosper who is actually one of my biggest fans in her place. But he was also living in a separate room with the lady. As time went on, this guy started disturbing me for séx…

He said he liked me and would not mind having an affair with me. But I told him I am married with a child but he would not let me be. It got to a stage he went to hire a car to take me around so as to aid my production but I never gave in to his demand for séx.

Then on Good Friday, April 18th, I was in my room and didn't bother locking my room door. Prosper came in and tried to rape me but I told him that I am ready to kill and go to jail if he ever tried it. After much sweet words and threats, he left me alone and I moved out of the house to Hilton Hotel, Sandton that day.

#CODED-ish News::Now Jonathan In Danger Of Impeachment?

Thirty seven former members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), are going to officially file the impeachment motion against the incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan.

Vanguard reports that the legislators, who defected to the All Progressive Congress (APC), also plan to come up with the sensitisation campaign aimed at disclosing the misdeeds of the administration.

However it has been gathered that Speaker Aminu Tambuwal and some PDP supporters, who are said to be strongly against the impeachment motion, recommended the legislators to give up this idea saying that their plan could worsen their image.

A source close to the legislators told Vanguard that the impeachment notice contained 30 points describing alleged misdeeds of the administration.

They also want to drag Jonathan before the International Court of Justice for genocide in the North-East and crime against humanity. For this purpose former PDP rrepresentatives are to submit the petition to all embassies and international bodies.

One of the legislators whose name was not provided commented on their further moves:

"The 37 of us are going to pay visits to all former presidents and vice presidents concerning the issue and to explain why we are taking this position... Since the President does not want peace and he is going for our jugular, it's a fight to finish this time around and he stands to lose more at the end of the day."

#CODED-ish News::Actress Laide Bakare In Big Mess, Husband on The Run, EFCC Takes Over Property

This is a serious matter. My dear ladies, marrying a super rich man is a good thing, but are you ready for all his hidden issues and secret dealings that could come out when you least expect and change the status quo?

Few weeks ago, Laide Bakare's husband, Alhaji Atanda Orilowo told us that he is not on the run and that the EFCC did not follow due process before declaring him wanted. He said he is around and will go to court to put a stop to the intimidation by EFCC and settle all the issue once and for all.

But, funny enough, that did not happen. And EFCC say they didn't see the man and the money he is accused of embezzling is in billions. Now they have obtained a forfeiture order on all his choice property, including his big filling stations in Lagos and the new boutique he opened for actress Laide Bakare...

His mansion in Ibeju Lekki will also be taken over by EFCC. They say Alhaji Orilowo is still on the run and that all efforts to trace him in his known houses have proved abortive. MTN staff are serious with the case and they want to make sure he account for the billions given to him for their estate (Y'ELLOW ESTATE).

In fact, as you read this, a court order has been placed on two of his filling stations in the Ajah area of Lagos.

#CODED-ish News::Pop Twins, Psquare Makes First Public Appearance Since Big Fight Rumour

After a long week of news stories speculating that the pop duo P Square was going to split, Peter and Paul Okoye made their first public appearace together at the Ibiza House Party at Piccolo Mondo hosted by top model Sarah Ofili.

The appearance of the Okoye brothers comes a day after they posted tweets, which has been widely regarded as reconcilatory. "Forever P Square" tweeted Peter Okoye, while Paul posted "P Square.!Stronger Than Ever!!!"

At the party, Peter Okoye and his manager/brother Jude Okoye arrived first. A few minutes later Paul Okoye and his wife strolled into the V.I.P section. P Square's entourage included Don Flex- their choreographer, Tony Okoye- their brother and rising dancehall act Cynthia Morgan. Man of the moment Phyno also came to the party with P Square. P Square partied for a couple of hours before leaving.

It must be said that while at the party, the Okoye brothers appeared distant as they were opposite each other. Obviously, the ice between the two is still defrosting. However, it was good to see Peter and Paul back again.

#CODED-ish News::Jonathan Picks The Area For Establishing The Biggest Seaport

President Goodluck Jonathan vowed that the Federal Government would construct the biggest seaport in Badagry, Lagos State.

The president made the promise at the 37th coronation anniversary of the Akran of Badagry, Aholu Menu-Toyi I, held at his palace on April 26, 2014, Saturday.

Jonathan, who was represented by the Minister of Information, Mr Labaran Maku, stated that the plan to found the seaport was part of the Transformation Agenda.

The president marked significant historical role of Badagry over the century, as well as its importance as the cradle of tourism. However, in order to boost its role in foreign trade, it is being planned to build a seaport, which will exceed the size of the one in Ibeju-Lekki.

Jonathan further applauded Aholu Menu-Toyi I for maintaining peace and unity in Badagry.

"We appreciate your efforts and we pray God keeps on giving you strength to live for many more years," the president said in his message.

In his return, the monarch, who was mistakenly declared dead in July 2013, appreciated the intention of Jonathan's Administration to develop the area after several years of neglect, presented a Badagry Pilgrimage Award to the president.

It would be recalled that Jonathan has already paid a private visit to Aholu Menu-Toyi I in February this year and assured that "the glorious days of Badagry will be returned".
