Kenyan Granny Starts School

78-year-old Mariana Ong’ango Ololo, a new pupil at Obambo Primary School, is not only the oldest pupil in her class, the grandmother is also the oldest pupil in the school.

Ololo, who hails from Siaya county, reportedly showed up at the school unannounced on 14 May, in a school uniform with a shaved head and accompanied by her 56-year-old son George.

The school principal Joseph Muloand told the Daily Nation, “It is a unique case. We have to lay down a strategy of handling such an elderly pupil.” Ololo has already missed classes on several occasions due to her poor health.

Olamide turned down the Koko master’s offer, preferring to roll alone for now.

Olamide, who does not want to play the fool at this phase of his career, politely told D’Banj that he was not ready to surrender some of his powers, especially having to be booked for shows only by D’Banj’s management outfit, pleaded for time to even think about the offer as he still wants to work with his present team and taking things as they come for now.

He believes that for now, there is nothing D’BANJ could do for him that he can’t do by himself.

In the future, I will consider his offer. If anybody wants me, he should have unfettered access to me. I am just starting out in the profession’, he allegedly told close friends.

Boko-Haram gave Me N5000 To Burn Schools - Teenager

It would be hard to talk about eradicating the menace of terrorism from our shores without talking about poverty. The type of poverty which pushes a young lad to burn schools because he was offered the sum of N5000.

That was the confession of one of the teenagers released by the JTF on Friday to Gov. Kashim Shettima of Borno and Ibrahim Geidam of Yobe. In all, the JTF pardoned 58 Boko Haram suspects comprising of 23 women and 35 children.

Out of the 58, twenty were released to the Borno governor. They comprised of six women and fourteen children who were arrested between 2012 and 2013. They are expected to be rehabilitated and reintegrated into the society.

This 22 years old young man was gunned down in Benin city by the DPO of Ogida Barack Police Station.

Ibrahim, who celebrated his 22nd birthday on March 30th, was a part-time student of SLT in University of Benin (Uniben) and was doing his IT in a Pharmaceutical company in Benin City.

Ibrahim was the only son of his parents who live at No.1 Egbeobauwaye street off Siluko road, behind Edo Omo park in Benin City, Edo State.

Smooth FM OAP and programmes director, Kirk Anthony, dies at 53

Jamaican born Smooth 98.1FM On-Air-Personality and Director of Programmes, Kirk Anthony Derrick has passed on. According to sources, Kirk collapsed a few hours after his show, "The Kazbah", yesterday evening May 31 and was rushed to Reddington hospital in Victoria Island where he was pronounced dead. Cause of death will be known next week when the autopsy result comes out.

"For him being part of the Smooth 98.1FM family was the next chapter in his life and sadly, it was his last," Smooth FM said in a press release.
Kirk relocated to Nigeria in 2009 to work at Smooth FM. He was 53 years old. He is survived by his wife and children. May his soul rest in peace, amen.

16-year old secondary school girl crushed to death by a truck in Ilorin

A thick dark cloud overshadow the ancient city of Ilorin, Kwara state on Thursday when a 16-year-old girl, Moridiyat Abdullateef, was crushed to death by a truck with number plate XB 482 BDU, alleged to have been on top speed.

According to the information made available to DailyPost, Moridiyat, a Senior Secondary One student of Government Girls Day Secondary School, Oke Suna, Ilorin, had gone to fetch water across the road for her grandfather in the morning before setting out for school and in her attempt to cross to the other side of the road at Taiwo Isale junction, she was hit by the driver, who was allegedly drunk, and had lost control of the vehicle.

This idea has given birth to the creation of ‘The Technical University’, the first of its kind in the whole Africa. This will be a University with a mission to cultivate a cadre of technical professionals with technical entrepreneurial skills capable of creating jobs and employment for Nigerians.

The bill for the creation of the University was passed in June 2012 by the state house of assembly, and already an acting Pro-Chancellor in person of Prof A.O Afolabi, the former head of service of the federation has been appointed, a study tour of 3 countries (UAE, Taiwan and USA) has been made, more than 200 hectares of land has been acquired along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, the technical committee for the take-off of the university has been inaugurated which includes Professor Olufemi Bamiro (Former Vice Chancellor of Unibadan), a lease of Adegoke Plaza around new garage area as a temporary site has been made, so also is the visit of the technical committee to the Technical University of Texas Lubbock (TECH-U), and the signing of an MOU between Oyo State Government and TECH-U. Baby flushed down a toilet; mother claims baby fell into the toilet after she gave birth

The mother of the newborn baby boy flushed down a toilet in China watched in secret as rescuers plucked him alive from a sewer pipe.

Two crushed to death as trailer falls on car on Airport road

This sad incident occurred on Monday night May 27th along Airport road in Mafoluku, Lagos. A trailer carrying heavy duty rods lost control and fell on a car with three people inside.

The three occupants of the car, two men and a woman, were staff of Zenith Pension, Victoria Island. The two men, Ovie and Sir Kay, lost their lives, while the lady survived with a deep cut on her head.

Man Beat His 32-Year-Old Mother-Of-Three To Death

A man, said to be a relation of a former Minister of Interior, Capt. Emmanuel Iheanacho (retd.), has arrested over the death of his live-in lover, Regina James (pictured).

The man, identified as George Iheanacho, allegedly killed his 32-year-old partner and the mother of his three children – two boys and a girl- over accusation of infidelity.
George was said to have killed Regina- who had lived with him for six years- in their residence at 3, Calvary Street, Iyana Isasi, Lagos-Badagry Expressway in late April, 2013.

It was learnt that subsequent argument over the accusation led to the suspect beating up Regina and in the process, she fell into a coma. Regina, believed to be from Afia-Nsit Urua Nko, in Nsit Ibom Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, was said to have died before she could be rushed to the hospital.

Families Of Kidnap Victims Promise To Start Killing Nigerians In Pakistan

Families of the five Pakistani nationals on board an oil vessel, Mt Matrix 1, abducted last Saturday at 40 nautical miles off the Bayelsa coast have told the management of the company, Matrix Energy, in Warri, Delta State, not to pay any ransom to the abductors to get them released.

They are promising to take revenge on Nigerians in their hundreds in Pakistan, if any of the victims was killed.

The abducted victims include the Captain, Chief Officer, cook and two others. They were conveying automated gasoline oil, AGO, from Lagos to Eket, when they were abducted at 9pm.

Sources said that relevant security agencies in Bayelsa State and Warri in Delta State, had been informed of the incident.

Generator fumes kills mother, four children in Bayelsa

Fumes from a generator have killed one Mrs. Chinyere Celestine, and four of her children in their home, off Goodnews Street, Azikoro suburbs of Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

The victims were said to have died in their sleep on Tuesday night while the generator was working.

The father of the children and husband of Chinyere, identified as Celestine, was said to be in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, when the tragedy occurred.

Armed Robbers Attacks Pasuma Steals Range Rover

Pasuma was attacked around 9pm on Monday night May 27th by armed robbers along the Lagos-Abeokuta expressway while on his way to a show in Ogun State. The robbers took his money, mobile phones, and also robbed the friend who was in the car with him.

Then they forced their way into his Range Rover, drove him and his friend around for

over three hours before dumping them in a bush at Itele in Ogun state. The robbers didn't identify Pasuma because he hid his face from them throughout the ordeal.

They made away with Pasuma's Range Rover with number plate Lagos - MUS 830AP.

The case has been reported to the police who say efforts are on to recover the vehicle and catch the robbers.

VIDEOS/PHOTOS:Goat goes mad,starts attacking people on the street.

A furious goat went on the rampage around a Brazilian town and attacked anyone who dared to cross its path.
The animal was videoed as it butted a motorcycle and its two riders and floored a woman carrying her shopping through the streets of Londrina, near Sao Paulo.
One man, who thought he could beat the goat at its own game, was also knocked to the ground.

During the confrontation, the man kicks the goat in its side but he is quickly forced to flee as the angry
goat chases him around a tree.
A video of the stampeding goat is fast becoming an internet sensation and has now been watched more than 2.2 million times on YouTube in just three days.
The sound of the goat's bell can be heard as it charges at passersby.
One woman carrying shopping bags initially laughs when the goat begins to follow her.
But things then turn as nasty, as it launches into her back and knocks her to the ground.
Not content with attacking pedestrians, the goat soon turns its attention to a pair of motorcycle riders.

As the bike gingerly edges past the animal, it takes aim and butts the vehicle over.

the cameraman, who had been filming the drama, can be laughing throughout the video.
But he too is forced to run away when he becomes the target of the animal.
The video ends when the goat is finally overpowered and tied to a post.
It is then seen being dragged off by two men.

AMAZING: Twin Sisters Give Birth In The Same Hospital On The Same Day (Photos)

The twin sisters pictured above recently discovered they’re pregnant on the same day.

They broke their pregnancy news to their mother on the same day and coincidentally delivered their babies on the same day.

Twin #1, Tashina Ackley gave birth to a baby daughter while Twin #2, Erica gave birth to a son.

The Eastport Maine-based twin sisters delivered their babies at Down East Community Hospital in Machias, Maine.

This is the first set of babies for the identical twin sisters.

19 year old boy arrested for raping his mother

A teen raped his mother for revenge, according to police.

Police said a Marshall County, Alabama teen raped his mother for revenge after an altercation with his brother.

Police said 19-year-old Gary Helms, Jr., raped his 45-year-old mother at the trailer park in Willow Terrace Doyle Drive in Albertville. It is a twisted crime that police said Helms admits.
