#CODED-ish News: 400 Level 'Nnamdi Azikiwe University' Student Arrested For Ingesting 25 Wraps Of Cocaine
One Mr. Awka Anambra, a 400-level student of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, was arrested this week at Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu State, for ingesting 25 wraps of male condoms filled with cocaine.
He is the first person person to be arrested in the newly commissioned international airport.
In confirming the arrest, the NDLEA in a statement, said:
"The suspect excreted 25 wraps of a liquid substance that tested positive for cocaine, weighing 1.250kg.
This is the first drug seizure to be made at the airport; it is exciting because we have just commenced operations."
Chizoba Nwabuwa arrived aboard an Ethiopian Airline flight from Brazil when he tested positive to liquid cocaine. He said he agreed to carry the drugs because his cohorts promised him N500, 000 as compensation and he wanted to use the money to develop his art gallery. Chizoba said his handlers assured him that authorities will not be able to detect liquid cocaine, so he was confident.

28-year-old Tabitha Leah Ritchie, identified as a social worker, was stopped while trying to board an Air Canada flight in Bogota, Colombia after an inspector noticed that her belly was unusually cold and hard.

#CODED-ish News: Pastor in US Arrested While Atempting To Burn 3,000 Qurans
Terry Jones, a controversial Florida Pastor was on Wednesday arrested in Polk County, Fla. Terry was arrested before he nearly burnt about 3,000 Qurans.
Jones’s request for a permit to burn 3,000 Qurans (the holy book of Islam)was denied on Tuesday by the county’s Board of County Commissioners. He wanted to burn the Qurans in a local park to mark the anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks in US.
A spokeswoman for the Polk County Sherriff’s Office said Terry Jones was arrested on felony charges after a traffic stop.
Jones, according to NBC Miami, was riding a pickup truck with kerosene soaked Qurans inside the truck bed and additional bottles of kerosene were found in the truck bed.Jones’s website said he wanted to burn 2,998 Qurans at 5 p.m. “in memory of the 2,998 victims of Islamic jihad who were murdered on September 11th, 2001.”

Edo State Government has secured admission in one of the state's top secondary schools for 13-year-old Daniel Oikhena, who stowed away in the tyre compartment of an Arik Aircraft from Benin to Lagos on Saturday August 24, this year.
According to Governor Oshiomhole
"He is an intelligent young man with uncommon challenges, but one that has a vision. We had him examined by people who should know and the result confirmed that he is normal".
"This incident was probably the kind of trigger that we needed to improve the facilities at our Airports. You are never going to have all the money you need to do all you have to do. You should start from somewhere".
"It is also a security issue that we do not have any runway security lights at the Benin Airport. It is a security issue because a plane can take off and it is flying to Benin airspace and it has mechanical faults and it cannot land.

Former vice president says Obasanjo's claim that he cannot travel to the US is untrue.A former vice president, Atiku Abubakar, has reacted angrily to a statement credited to former President Olusegun Obasanjo in which he (Obasanjo) alleged that Atiku risked jail if he travelled to the United States.
Atiku served as deputy to Mr Obasanjo between 1999 and 2007. Garba Shehu, Media Adviser to Atiku issued a strong statement Wednesday from Abuja defending his principal, following corruption charges made by Mr Obasanjo in an EFCC magazine, Zero Tolerance.
"The former President is wrong," Mr Shehu said. "It is widely known that Atiku didn't enter government broke. He declared his assets at the commencement of his Vice Presidency and did so at the end of his term as required by the constitution, which is a sacred document to Atiku."
According to him, "Atiku, who is currently returning from China after leading a private economic trade mission at the invitation of the Chinese government, travels often and has a well-documented record of building industries and putting thousands of Nigerians to work. Yesterday, a story was published in blogs of how some men are extorting yahoo boys in Lagos and how they are using the name of the IG of Police, MD Abubakar to operate. The message was sent to me by a young guy who gave his name as Ibrahim Dipo.
Anyway, the man who was accused of using 'fake' security personnel to dupe Yahoo boys, Alhaji Rasaq got across to me and gave his own side of the story. He said he is a patriotic Nigerian who is helping the Police and the EFCC to tame the activities of 419 and Yahoo boys.
He said the IG of Police is aware of his actions. Below is a note from Alhaji Rasaq:

The Federal Government says it did not order the Iphones.Gold and Co, the luxury product company that claimed to have received an order from the Nigerian Government for 53 gold-plated Iphones for the country's 53rd independence anniversary has retracted the claim made by its boss, Amjad Ali.
In a twitter exchange between the company and a Nigerian social activist, Henry Okelue (@4eyedmonk), the London-based company denied its earlier claim that it got the order directly from the government, saying the order came from a private individual.
"These have been ordered not by the government but by an individual who is gifting them to people there to celebrate the [53rd Anniversary]," the company's twitter handle (@goldandco) tweeted at Mr. Okelue.
The company then suggested that the Daily Independent lied saying "what was written and what was said are different." But the author of the story, Simon Usborne, insists that he reported what he was told by Mr. Ali when asked about the denial on Gold and Co.

In the movie, starring the sexy Vin Diesel, Hilson plays a prisoner captured by a group of men who want to take down Riddick.
Obviously, this role gave Keri a chance to step outside of her comfort zone and really demonstrate what she can do if giving the right opportunity.
GlobalGrind chatted with the singer-turned-actress about working with Diesel, how she did her own stunts, what's up with her boyfriend Serge Ibaka, and her "apology" record.
Here's the highlights:
On what it was like getting ready for her Riddick prisoner scene?
"I remember being very focused and channeled into a very dark place. I had to let go of my personal life. It was a different experience for me. Where as music, I'm writing normally from my truth, in this art form, you have to find it.
It's your job to find how you connect with this character. That was different for me.
My prisoner role was such a dark scene. And I got to do my own stunts! That was the coolest."
On if Vin gave her any motivational tips:
"No, but they had a stunt person there for me and it was my decision to do it myself. We let her do it maybe one time and then I sent her home. We were just camera blocking and the first time I did it, I just kept doing it and I think she got the hint. Eventually, she was off the set. I don't think it was something we expressed, but that's just the way I am. It was long, it was pretty rough on my back and certain parts of my limbs. I definitely had bruises leaving Montreal – and burns – but I loved it."

A 25-year-old pastor, Samson Bamgbose, was, yesterday, arraigned before an Abeokuta Chief Magistrate Court, Isabo, Ogun State for allegedly causing the death of a church member, who drowned during a spiritual bath.
Bamgbose, a pastor at the Celestial Church of Christ, Alaapa, is facing a one-count charge of negligence.
The police prosecutor, Mr Paul Etusi, told the court that the offence was committed on August 15 at 3p.m. in Ogun River, Alaapa village, Abeokuta.
He said the accused took some church members, including the deceased, Toheeb Odusanya,13, to the river for spiritual bath.
"Bamgbose took the little boy to the river without his parent's consent. He did not take the necessary precaution, and allowed the boy to drown," the prosecutor said.
Etusi said the offence contravened section 344 of the Criminal Code of Ogun, 2006.
The accused, however, pleaded not guilty.
The magistrate, Mr Anthony Araba, granted the accused bail in the sum of N200,000 with one surety in like sum and adjourned the case till October 2.

According to him, these are the last days where many people would come up with different things to deceive the church of God.
Recently, videos of people claiming to have died and gone to heaven and hell have flooded the market and internet.
And in one of the CDs, a Sierra Leonean lady, Linda Ngaujah, claimed she died and was shown happenings in heaven and hell.
She had warned that many members of Pastor Enoch Adeboye' Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG would go to hell. She also alleged that the founder of the Lord's Chosen Charismatic Movement, Pastor Lazarus Mouka was using diabolical means to perform miracles.
She warned him to repent while declaring that Bishop David Oyedepo of the Living Faith Mission and his members were not even recognised in heaven.
Linda said that the old Deeper Life form of dressing was the divinely acceptable one, saying that women who use rubber and wool to plait their hair were headed for hell.
There are claims too that Pastor Kumuyi's late wife, Biodun Kumuyi was seen in heaven.
In yet another message, a lady evangelist of the Church of God Mission, Benin City, Margaret Amure warned women not to wear jewellery, lipstick, or any make-up or trousers which she said were immodest.
But Kumuyi in a sermon preached and transmitted among Deeper Life members, warned his followers in many branches, not to believe in those messages as coming from God.

Yes, Vin Diesel took over the summer with "Fast and the Furious 6." Now, he finds himself at the top spot again with his new movie "Riddick."
Vin Diesel's "Riddick" had a great entrance at the box office when it opened with an estimated 18.7 million in earnings.
"The Butler" directed by Lee Daniels hugged the top spot for three consecutive weeks until "Riddick" kicked it out of the no. 1 spot this week.
"Riddick" is the third installment to the movies "Pitch Black," Diesel's breakout movie, followed by "The Chronicles of Riddick" that earned $115 million when it came out. The budget for the second installment was a $105 million.
Diesel had the movie "Riddick" financed mostly foreign sales, but the star still needed a U.S distributor. Good thing for Diesel, Universal was out there for him.
"We're very glad to be in the Vin Diesel business," stated Nikko Rocco, distribution chief of Universal.
The distributing company backed the first two films of Diesel. The company's decision to distribute the latest Vin Diesel film seemed to be working since "Riddick" is no. 1 at the box office.
The top ten movies that are lined up at the box office are, of course, "Riddick" at the top spot, "The Butler" in second place followed closely by "Instructions Not Included,"
