Boko Haram: Nigerians Will Know Outcome Soon -Maku

The federal government is still working on the proposal to grant amnesty to Islamist insurgents under the aegis of the Jama’atul Ahlus Sunnah Lidda’awati wal Jihad, otherwise known as Boko Haram, and will provide information to citizens in timely fashion as events unfold.

The Minister of Information, Mr Labaran Maku stated this Wednesday in response to a question while he was briefing State House correspondents on the outcome of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting.

Flanked by his counterparts in the education as well as Women Affairs and Social Development ministries, Prof, Ruqayyatu Rufai’I and Hajiya Zainab Maina, Maku who did not elaborate on the workings of the Amnesty Committee on Boko Haram, simply said: “you will be briefed as their work progresses.”

Facebook Looses More Than a Million Nigeria Users

Social networking Giant, Facebook has seen its Nigerian user-base drop by more than 1.2 million in the past six months, according to a report on Monday. Statistics from social media monitoring company SocialBakers showed that 1,283,220 users have not logged on to the site in the past six months.

Currently, there are 5,288,960 Facebook users in the Nigeria, which makes it #36 in the ranking of all Facebook statistics by Country. There are 69% male users and 31% female users in Nigeria, and the largest age group is currently 18-24 with total of 1,896,360 users, followed by the users in the age of 25-34.

LAUTECH Grounds Activities as Students Unrest Increases

All is not well in Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) at the moment as students have continued riots after three of their undergraduates lost their lives in a ghastly accident. The students are said to have burnt Bikes,Cars, forcing shop owners to close, Petrol Stations were shut, activities in the school premises have been grounded

The rest of One Direction are evidently on a mission to take Harry Styles down a peg or two; after pulling his trousers down onstage the other evening the lads embarrassed him again last night by screaming Taylor Swift’s name during his solo verse.

It all happened while the group were performing in Newcastle yesterday as part of their continuing world tour, called Take Me Home.

Unlike most celebrites, Adele tends to shy away from doing magazine photoshoots.

When she does though, she never fails to impress such as she has on the cover of Elle US where she’s stunned in a beautiful 1960’s inspired shoot.

The singer has posed for the publication’s annual Women in Music edition, which also features a host of other high profile artists who pay tribute to the British songstress.
