Lagos Female House-help Organised Robbery of Her Master of over $100,000

Operatives of the Special Anti Robbery Squad, SARS, Ikeja, Lagos have arrested a female house-help who allegedly connived with her boyfriend and two fake soldiers to rob her master of over 100,000 Dollars.

The 23 year-old house help, Adaeze Ijeoma, allegedly sneaked into her master’s bedroom located in Maryland, Lagos, last month, after he traveled out of the country. Unsure of where to keep the foreign currency, she reportedly took it to her boyfriend, one Onyebuchi Uche, only for him to flee with the money, leaving Adaeze in doubt.

On his part, Onyebuchi , who has been jobless for years, rushed to Alade market, Ikeja where he changed some of the dollars to naira and thereafter, deposited the sum of N8 million in two banks. He thereafter, told operatives at SARS that he also bought a car; ‘End of Discussion’ and a plot of land in an undisclosed area where he had started molding blocks for building.

Photos: Mother Begs Doctors to Help Baby Son Who Was Born with a 'Tail'

A devastated mum in China is begging doctors to help her seven-month-old son - who has a three-inch tail sticking out of his back.

Little Xiao Wei was born with spina bifida, which means his vertebrae didn't form properly.
The result is a growth that protrudes out of the back of his spine and is still growing.

Xiao's mum Chen, from Guangdong province, revealed: "We have asked the surgeons to remove the tail but they tell us it is not that simple."
Surgeon Huang Chuanping explained: “The growth is quite well developed and now measures some 10 centimetres.

“If we cut it off it will simply grow again. We need to repair the spinal canal first to stop it reoccurring."
Myelomeningocele is the most common type of spina bifida, affecting 1 in 800 babies born.

Chris Brown removes duet with Rihanna from his upcoming album

According to celebrity entertainment site, Hollywood Life, Chris Brown wants the duet he made with Rihanna back when they were still together cut from his upcoming sixth studio album, X. Rihanna and Chris collaborated on a song titled Put It Up, that was set to appear on the album but not any more as Chris wants it removed and wouldn't allow the album to be released unless his label removes the song. Record execs are still hoping to convince Chris or pay him more to change his mind because it would be a hit. So far he is said to be adamant.

Teen girl beheads father with bush knife after he rapes her

Teenage girl beheaded her father with a bush knife after he raped her at their home in Papua New Guinea, a report said Monday, with community leaders protecting her, saying the man deserved to die.

The Post-Courier newspaper said the 18-year-old chopped her father's head clean off after he repeatedly raped her last Tuesday night in their village in the poverty-stricken Pacific nation's Western Highlands.

The report cited a pastor as saying the father, in his mid-40s, had three other children and raped his daughter when they were alone in the house after the mother and the other siblings visited relatives.

Pastor Lucas Kumi said the man went to his daughter's room in the night and raped her repeatedly.

"The father wanted to rape his daughter again in the morning inside the house and that was when the young girl picked up the bush knife and chopped her father's head off," he said.

Community leaders are now refusing to hand the girl over to police, vowing to protect her.

Two Friends Rape Pastor's Daughter In Her Father's Presence

A high Court sitting in Ughelli, Delta State has sentenced two bad guys, described as “notorious rapists,” Ernest Steve, 30 and Jerry Godwin, 29, to life imprisonment for molesting a 17-year-old daughter of a Pastor.

Prosecution told the court that after robbing parents of the young girl of valuables, they went ahead and had carnal knowledge of the girl serially, causing severe injuries in her private area...

The incident took place on November 5, 2007 when the duo broke into the residence of the parents of the girl at Young Africa Close, Ovwian, armed with a gun and knife. It caused a lot of psychological trauma.

Delivering judgment, the trial judge, Justice O. Tobi said the confessional statements of the accused admitted in evidence during trial passed the veracity test and was not in doubt, saying the prosecution led by P. T. Daubry had proved the essential ingredients of the three-count charge preferred against the accused persons.

The court declined the plea for mercy by the defence counsel, Mr. M. Oshemele, on the ground of law and proceeded to hand down the mandatory punishment for the offence they committed as prescribed by law.

They have thus been moved to prison custody to begin their life imprisonment journey.

Mikel Obi set to leave Chelsea for Galatasaray

Super Eagles midfielder John Mikel Obi is set to move to Galatasaray from Chelsea. Mikel told Sabah, a daily Turkish newspaper that the Turkey football club made an offer that he's very pleased with and is looking forward to life in Istanbul.

'I asked Drogba for advice and he told me that Istanbul is a fantastic city, that Galatasaray is a huge club and that I have to make the move. I have played at Chelsea for a long time and it's now time for me to leave.

'I'm still only 26 and it's great to receive an offer from a club (Galatasaray) playing Champions League football and doing well in the competition.'
Talks have reached an advanced level between Chelsea and Galatasaray. Chelsea won't make the move difficult and regarding my salary there won't be a problem. All that is left is for the clubs to reach an agreement.'

There have been speculations for months now that Ghanaian footballer and Chelsea star Michael Essien is married to his publicist, Akosua Puni, a report they both never denied or confirmed. D'banj Stole My Song 'Blame It On The Money' - Durella

Their friendship is already turning sour?

Six days ago, D'Banj released a new single 'Blame It on The Money' in which he featured Snoop Lion and label mate Big Sean.

But, Durella at the moment is claiming the song is his and that D'Banj jacked it from him.

Story has it that Durella recorded “Blame It On The Money” but his previous label Ikonic Music didn’t release it.
Then when they were ready to release it, Ikonic records claimed Durella sold “Blame It On The Money” to D’banj.

Durella, has denied selling his song to D'Banj. He says:

Pretty 5-Years-Old Girl KIlled By 13-Years-Old Brother With Wrestling Moves

A 13-year-old boy has been arrested after allegedly using wrestling moves he had seen on television on his five-year-old half sister, who died from the brutal beating. Viloude Louis suffered broken ribs, internal bleeding and a lacerated liver after Devalon Armstrong repeatedly slammed her on a bed, punched her in the stomach, jumped on her and struck her with his elbow several times, police said.

Deputies say they received a 911 call from the home in Terrytown, Louisiana on Sunday afternoon saying the girl had been found unconscious on the bathroom floor. Paramedics found the girl unresponsive and she was pronounced dead a short time later. Armstrong was arrested on Tuesday after a coroner investigation found the girl died of multiple injuries, two days after the death, Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s spokesman Col. John Fortunato said.

82-Yr-Old Retired Police Inspector Buried Alive In Edo

The Nigeria Police Command Zone 5, Benin has apprehended eight persons in connection with the murder of an 82-year-old retired Police Inspector, Samuel Ajayi, who was allegedly buried alive by his assailants over a community related crisis in Ovia North-East local government area of Edo State.

Info gathered that the late Ajayi was invited by a group of persons to intervene in a community crisis but was abducted by the same gang who took him to a forest where he was allegedly buried alive in a grave.

The suspects took a team of policemen accompanied by newsmen to the scene of the murder, to the grave where Ajayi was buried alive, only to discover that his body had been exhumed and reburied in a yet to be identified location in the deep forest in Ovia.

Kim Kardashian Names Baby "Kaidence Donda West"

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have reportedly named their daughter Kaidence Donda West.

The reality TV star gave birth to the couple’s first child on Saturday (15.06.13) in Los Angeles, California, and a loose-lipped nurse at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, the hospital where she had her baby, has allegedly revealed their new arrival’s name.

According to gossip website MediaTakeOut.com, Kim and Kanye have settled on calling their daughter Kaidence, which would follow the Kardashian family tradition of naming daughters with the letter ‘K’.

Meanwhile, the newborn’s middle name is a tribute to the ‘All of the Lights’ rapper’s late mother Donda West, who died in November 2007.

Kanye, 36, was incredibly close to his mother and even penned a tribute song about her, titled ‘Hey Mama’, for his 2005 album ‘Late Registration’.

The star’s sister Khloe Kardashian-Odom said both mother and baby are doing well.

My Life is in Danger, NANS President Cries Out

The President of National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Yinka Gbadebo has told Nigerians to hold the Nigerian Police Force responsible if anything happens to him.

The Police were said to have threatened Gbadebo, ordering him to do thorough investigations before blaming them for the incident. Gbadebo spoke in Ibadan after he was released by men of the Oyo State Joint Security Task Force, codenamed ‘Operation Burst’.

He said they have been making calls to him following his statement that the IGP should resign owing to the incessant killings of Nigerian students by the Police Force in the last six months directly or indirectly. He also said that normalcy would not return to the University of Uyo, UNIUYO, until the VC, Prof. Comfort Ekpo is removed.

UNILAG Students Accuses Wizkid of Collecting Their Money and not Showing Up

UNILAG students are accusing him of collecting N500k from them for a show and not showing up. I know Wizkid collects about N2m per show, so this N500k he supposedly collected is kinda strange.

Both parties can’t really talk about the case for now because it’s a police matter, but hopefully after they settle, we will find out what really happened.

Wizkid summoned by police at the Zone 2 Comand, Onikan on allegation of defrauding students of UniLag

Wizkid and his manger Godwin Tom were invited by men of the Nigeria Police Force - Zone 2 Command, Onikan, today June 19th after students of the University of Lagos reported the music star to the police.

The students claim that Wizkid collected N500, 000 from them as full payment for a show that was supposed to hold at UNILAG Sports Centre on May 24th tagged Concert of Life. They claim Wizkid didn't show up for the show and didn't return their money so they went to the police.

Wizkid was at Zone 2 for a few hours this afternoon with his team. He was bailed by his lawyer after he wrote a statement and was asked to report back to the station next week.

Efforts to reach Wizkid’s camp proved abortive. But someone close to the case said they believe an impostor collected the money and not Wizkid. Hopefully, Wizkid's camp will eventually release a statement clearing the air.

I will NEVER get pregnant again - Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian may have given birth to a healthy baby girl this weekend but the latest episode of her reality TV show proved her pregnancy was far from easy.

For Kim was rushed to the hospital after experiencing severe stomach pain in Sunday’s episode of ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians.’
Viewers saw distraught Kim reduced to tears and in agony as she jetted into Los Angeles amid fears she had appendicitis.

And the pain was so extreme Kim even said she did not want to go through another pregnancy.
‘It was a really painful flight, it hurt so badly. I can hardly walk,’ a tearful Kim told mum Kris on the show.
‘I just don’t understand it just hurts so bad, it kills,’ said Kim as she was examined by her doctor.
‘It feels like I am in labour. Why is this happening to me? I hate it, I can never do this again.’
But all was well as the doctor found the baby with a healthy heartbeat.
‘I am just so relieved the baby is okay,’ said Kim.

Nigeria To Train Astronauts For Space Travel

Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the federal government is to start the training of local astronauts for space travel by 2015.

Minister of Science and Technology, Professor Ita Ewa, Monday announced the government's intention to train astronauts for space travel while giving a report of the achievements of his ministry in the past two years, at a press conference in Abuja.

Ewa who said the ministry was waiting for President Goodluck Jonathan to approve the training programme, added that the country would also collaborate with the Chinese government for the development of a space rocket.

Dolce & Gabbana Sentenced To Prison For Tax Evasion

Italian fashion designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, the men behind fashion power house, Dolce & Gabbana were today June 19th sentenced to one year and eight months in prison by an Italian court after being found guilty of tax evasion. They were also fined €500,000.

The multimillionaire designers were accused of hiding millions of euros from Italian tax authorities, charges they deny and have said they intend to appeal against any conviction.

Italian authorities are accusing them of moving their brand to a Luxembourg-based holding company Gado - in 2004, so they could avoid declaring taxes on royalties of about 1 billion euros.

The Italian authorities have been investigating the designers for about six years now and they were actually cleared of tax evasion/fraud charges at a previous trial in April 2011 but Italy's highest court overturned that ruling, ordering that the case be sent back to trial.

Their sentences have been suspended pending their appeal.

Incidents like these are scientifically impossible, but residents of the area say it is true even though some of them confessed that they did not see the baby clutching the miniature Quran, the holy book of the Muslims. They were only told about it.

OAU Big Girl Gives Birth & Attempts to Flush New Born Baby Down the Toilet in School Hostel

According to reports from students of Obafemi Awolowo University, a female student of the school gave birth in the Moremi Hostel hall toilet and attempted to flush the baby but was caught my the hall cleaners.

They say the girl's name is Oyin (let's leave her surname out for now) and she's a 400L student of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The incident happened early this morning around 7.

Daughter Chops Off Father’s Head For Molesting Her

A teenage girl chopped her father’s head clean off with a bush knife after he Molested her in their home in the highlands of Papua New Guinea.

Now residents of the village have formed a protective ring around the 18-year-old, refusing to hand her over to the police because they agreed her ‘evil’ father deserved to die. A local church leader, Pastor Lucas Kumi from the village of Rang in the Western Highlands, said theentire community would refuse to allow the girl to be subjected to any official investigation.

ASUU calls for state of emergency

The Academic Staff Union of Universities has renewed the call for the declaration of a state of emergency in the education sector.

The call came on the heels of the death of the Senate President of National Association of Nigerian Students and four other officials of NANS in a ghastly motor accident last week in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

In a statement by its President, Dr. Nasir Isa, the union said the fate that befell the five NANS officials called for the declaration of emergency in the entire education sector by the Federal Government.

The union also urged students to step up their activism by re-opening the issues bordering on compelling government to increase its annual budgetary allocation to at least 26 per cent, revival of the education bank and job creation for teeming unemployed graduates.

UBA Emerges Best Bank in Agriculture Support

United Bank for Africa Plc has been named the best bank in support of agriculture in the country in recognition of its immense contribution to the growth of Nigeria‘s agricultural sector and value addition to the economy.

A statement by the bank on Friday said it clinched the award at the maiden edition of BusinessDay Annual Banking Awards, which held recently in Lagos. It said UBA beat three other banks that were nominated after a critical assessment by organisers of the awards.

The statement said, “According to statistics, UBA tops the Central Bank’s list of lenders to the agricultural sector. By the 2012 financial year end, UBA had channeled seven per cent of its N687bn loan book to agriculture.

18-year-old Fan Gets $10,000 Wristwatch From Singer J Martins

18 year old Musa Isa from Kogi State got the surprise of his life on Saturday June 15th when J Martins called him on stage during the 2nd leg of the Star Music Trek in Lokoja and gave him a wrist watch valued at $10, 000...which is a little over N1.5million.
